This is the greatest thing ever, if it were a sign Id hang it in my house : p

I see so many signs and frames like this at work, and I always ask myself, "who on earth is buying these things?", haha.

My grandfather was a first class nut - gave his barber a switchblade comb one time - and he was also into retail pottery, which is a dangerous combination. He got his pottery supplier to make up some signs, one of which I still have. They are white lettering on brown, reading "This house protected by a dog with AIDs."

sadly I have both flea and cockroach infestation and my bed is downstairs on the floor so they tend to get on me when I am trying to sleep it's not fun.

Goodness gracious :( Do the fleas bite you? They leave me completely alone, but both my husband and my cat are virtually covered in nasty, itchy, oozing flea bites.
 
Ive heard that flea infestations are the worst. Apparently a friend of mine had to resort to shaving his head to get rid of them : / Would be really really depressed if I had to do that.

I don't think that SkittlePumpkin will go for the shaving of the heads except perhaps as an artistic interpretation of what's going on.
 
Haha, yeah I dont think Id be willing to shave my head either : p Ive had lice a few times growing up, and mayonnaise in the hair with a hair net over it while I slept through the night worked every time. Though they were just in my hair, if they are everywhere, then thats definitely a bigger problem. Might wanna seek professional help, maybe.

Yeah. I've heard of people who resort to just moving out of their house completely.
When the weather gets really cold we can open all the windows and freeze them to death, so then we'll be okay for the winter. The problem is, when fleas are in the cocoon stage, they can stay in their little pods for months at a time and heat/cold doesn't affect them. So come spring time, they emerge and the whole thing starts all over again :(

Ugh, that sounds awful : / Maybe that could give you time to prepare for them though? Not that I have any idea what Im talking about, of course : p Dont think theres such thing as a flea trap...

They don't really bite me that much there are a few bites here and there but mostly they just hop around all over me very uncomfortable and I am very itchy
 
For the record you are looking for permethrin. Ask your friendly local farmer's co-op for permethrin. Mix it up in a sprayer, like the kind you would use to spray weeds around your house. Hose down whatever - soak the bed, spray the whole floor. Then do it again in a week to catch the new hatchlings.
 
Actually permethrin is what they use in dog flea-tick stuff. It's not used in cat flea stuff because cats would ingest it during their self-cleaning cycle. You can spray permethrin in the house even if you have cats though, just make sure it's dry before you let the cats wander through.
 
I have to get up (no motivation there), shower/get dressed etc, make a breakfast that can feed an army made up of one kid, pack up all the food and chairs etc, drive an hour to the meet, then I'm going to be looking for Internet entertainment for the next 5-6 hours. Hmm. I don't know if internet entertainment is the best choice of words. It sounds like I'm looking for something inappropriate when all I mean is, I'll be scrolling through these threads all day...
