How convenient, that people can push your buttons all they want, and you can take it for so long. But as soon as you can't take it anymore, and you call them out on their crap; you're the one with the "anger issues", you're the one with the problem.

Seeing ignorant Facebook status updates on my newsfeed like these make me super angry. I am receiving a master's in education because I believe everyone has a right to education and I have such a passion to make a change in students lives. Seeing this shows the ignorance of some people.

I currently work in education. People don't realize that my day does NOT end after my 9 hour shift. In fact, it continues. I'm spending money out of my own pocket for curriculum, I'm working on curriculum, I'm looking up ways on how I can help a child who is struggling WITH the said curriculum. I am loving the ones who seem to be unlovable by others, and showing that I believe in them. I'm doing work that I'm not being PAID for....and it's stressful, but it's what I want to do to be successful for my students. My life does not end when I clock out. People who post these status updates wouldn't HAVE an education if it weren't for teachers.

Sure, there are a few teachers out there that are out there that ARE lazy, who are incompetent. But, being a person who wants to see a change in young people's lives, it makes my blood boil.

You are educated because there's someone who believes in YOU, who wants to see YOU succeed. Call me lazy, call me as if I don't have a job, but that is far from the truth.

That's some troll posting that junk. I know most normal minded people understand that it's a dedication not just a job, that's why there is a teacher shortage.

The adjustment period for some anti-depressant and anti-psychotic medications is very....taxing to my patience and tolerance for many things many others would consider no big deal.

How long does it usually take to start working?

Cinder update: Enjoying new job (it's been like 2.5 months now, where did the time go) for the most part. Just turned in rental application this morning for an apartment closer to work. An as I've got an instrumental CD playing in the car, I've been struck by how similar Your Raise Me Up and Danny Boy sound. Anyone else ever noticed that?

Oh that does seem like a long time. I've been on the same one for a long time. I don't remember how long it took to start working.
Nothing I've been on has worked for me longer than a year at a time, so I have to keep changing meds, and I definitely notice the change in my personality as I am weaned off the old medication and the new one takes effect. Not much I can do except keep to myself and try to minimize irritating people more than I normally do.

They usually take several weeks. That's what we learned in pharmacy school.

Yup, I hear ya. I'm also getting tired of people derailing fun threads with their endless rhetoric. GAH! :p

Psalm 119:96

I have seen a limit to all perfection, but your commandment is exceedingly broad.

I don't know what that means, but Hi Rachel! :D
Hi Zero.

I think it means that everything around is imperfect, with a limit to the extent of how good it is and we cannot fully comprehend God's Word and His commands to us ...

Also I see you have PSL... had my first one too this week :)

Do you all ever feel odd and weird? Like no one finds you interesting or fun to talk to. Maybe you're just annoying when you talk to people and so you hardly ever do. That's my problem.

Anger is sometimes a good thing. It can show you that your personal boundaries are being violated.
