Today we went to my Husbands family picnic. It was fun, a lot of cute kid's and fun cousins we haven't seen in a while. There was food, a lot of food. So much food. I ate and then ate again and then had some very awesome cooked over a fire chicken. Then there was more food, cake and pie and cookies and more cookies and of course I ate some of that too. I don't and because of a medical reason or a weight loss surgery, I usually don't eat that much. But today I was starving, I don't know why but Inwas and now I'm in a world of pain. Ugh, well it was fun while it lasted.

Trying to grip a potato with a thumb, a ring finger and a pinky while peeling with the other hand. Yeah, totally awesome. Especially since there is only one hand tendon that controls the ring and pinky finger, so the strength is bupkis. I might as well have just:
I was able to drive out to my old elementary/middle school today. Between being a student and coaching, I spent 10 years there. It's interesting how no matter how many years it's been or how many changes have been made, some places just always feel like home.

When I hear the word's, Potato , baby carrots or hot dog, I think of a movie preview or a movie that I saw when I went to see the new Star Trek movie. The preview was for a movie called, Sausage Party, yes I know the underlying meaning, but it's like a Pixar movie of food and the food talks and doesn't know what it's purpose is yet. There was a scene of a potato being picked il by a woman, his potato friend's were cheering him on. He the Potato had an Irish accent and he was singing Danny Boy. The woman starts to peel him and he and the other potatoes are mortified. Then there was a scene of baby carrots rolling off a counter and the woman caught and ate them, the hot dogs said, they're eating children. So my Husband and I laughed, then I said, I don't think I can watch that movie. It does have a lot of bad language, but I don't know if it would freak me out or make me laugh.

Yeah it looks graphic. It looks funny yet disturbing.
I sold my condenser mic, audio interface and audio cables and stuff. I should be happy that they all got sold within an hour of listing, but I feel a little sad. T_T Sigh. Decisions decisions. The last thing that is still waiting for buyers, is my beloved keyboard.

The violence would be negligible. But the movie has a lot of strong language and lots of sexual content. I'll pass, thanks.
A live police chase on tv right now. Those are always fun to watch. This guy stopped on the freeway, got out of his truck, jumped down off the freeway and walked - walked! to an active construction site and there are workers there and it looks like he got into a backhoe that's running! The cops could have taken him down as he walked but they just followed about a hundred feet back in their cars because he has a gun.....
I can't believe it. The news program ended so they stopped showing the chase and some sports show is on now. -_- Guess I'll have to find out tomorrow.. Years ago they used to be big news and all the local tv stations would show it no matter what else was supposed to be on..

In other news... Today is another day off for me...
How am I celebrating it??
Going to a cookout this afternoon and having the house to myself for the rest of the day. Utter blissful times.
But right now, having some coffee and trying to get my back to stop hurting. I played and rocked to sleep, a toddler yesterday at church, I wasn't even scheduled to work yesterday; but I stuck around to keep one of my friends company, and wound up... In the rocking chair, keeping a toddler from crying so hard and making himself pass out... And eventually he fell asleep in my arms. I tell ya, that moment right there, broke my heart,but those were the best 30 mins I've ever had with a little one sleeping in my arms, cause that's never happened to me before. Sigh...|

Yesterday at the cookout we went to there was one of the cousins children, he's 3. He is hysterical. He followed us around a lot and played with my kid's, who are ten and eleven. He said that they were interesting to him, probably because he doesn't see them very much. The fact he called them interesting cracked me up. They played for a while and my Daughter sat down to take a break, she put her headphones on and was listening to music. Xander the little boy came over and asked me, where is your Sister? I said, oh my Daughter, she's right here. Then he said, I knew it, what are you doing? Olivia you have to try these salt and vinegar chips, they are so good. Then later I saw him in the house coming down the steps yelling at his older cousin, hey I'm trying to sleep up here, what the heck are you doing? Just trying to take a nap and can't even be quiet for one minute.
He was hysterical.
