True, but tbh even the gore stuff and zombie stuff is down right boring to me....lol what can I say I'm weird hehehe.....most of the modern "horror" movies are pretty boring to me....like "the hills have eyes", the conjuring, paranormal activity, ....most are pretty predictable....and just not that scary to me lol....in fact for the paranormal activity movies I actually laughed b/c the acting was so idiotic....I mean who goes running around with a camcorder screaming like 3 yo's and calls it a movie....I actually laughed at the part where the guy "gets attacked" and suddenly it just shows the camcorder still rolling after falling to the ground.....imo....total bore...and lack of creativity but that's just me lol...
I feel the same way with horror movies. Psycho, from what I can remember from it, was pretty well done though. Hitchcock was good at making the ordinary into something very macabre (dark and creepy). I didn't even bother seeing paranormal activity. I had a hunch it was like blair witch project and that "movie" bored me to death. It was more like a long video clip than an actual movie. I'm still not sure what to think of The Shining. I have to see it again. I never really paid attention the first time I saw it which was like in the 90's lol..

Ha, for reals. What are your favorite types of movies, Molly? :)
Disney movies...lol.

I like drama and some sci-fi. Really anything but scary or intense stuff. I like documentaries too. Mostly the nature ones.

What about you, Katie?

Disney movies are pretty grand. I like the classic ones.

Uh, I'm not really sure. I guess some drama and action.

Any particular favorite Disney movies?!

The Little Mermaid
Beauty and the Beast
Toy Story
Aladdin
Pretty much all of them. :p

I'm a big fan of Robin Williams. Sad that he's gone now. But pretty much all of the movies he did are awesome. My favorites being: Good Will Hunting, Jack, and Bicentennial Man.

If PA is anything like the trailer then it's just a lot of bad acting.. I haven't seen The Conjuring. The scariest thing I've watched was a documentary that aired maybe 15 years ago on either Discovery channel or TLC about a haunting in this house in Connecticut. The house used to be a mortuary. They made a movie about it a few years back but the movie wasn't as scary. In fact the movie kind of sucked in my opinion.. The priest who was part of the investigation was so disturbed by what he encountered that he refused to talk about it for like 10 years.

Holey moley... I actually found that documentary about the haunting in connecticut on youtube! Here it is if you dare watch it hehe... Its a serious documentary...no goofball acting or stupid camera tricks..that's probably why its so scary.

The conjuring is definately worth watching, I would skip PA b/c while it is interesting in some parts, it's just stupid teens running around with a camcorder and although it is labeled an "indie/independent movie" it's production is cheap and the story is about stupid teens running around going bat-poop crazy....wow I should write for rotten tomatoes lol....jk....

The conjuring has more story behind it and is based on ed and lorainee real life "spiritual therapists" if you will that cast out demons/spirits from houses and stuff....fantastic stuff to watch imo.....if you need links to watch it online for free just let me know.... :)

This is why Molly is like my sister. We're both disney lovers! (See avatars).

I don't even watch horror movie trailers anymore cause they stay inside my head and linger in my consciousness especially when I'm alone in my room trying to sleep... Ugh.

Out of all the horror movies I've seen, the one that really disturbed me was the original Nightmare on Elm Street. That movie totally messed me up! I couldn't sleep for days after seeing it and I had to keep the light on at night. The sequels were all pretty lame though in my opinion..

That's what I try to avoid lol! The last horror movie I watched that made me stop watching all horror movies altogether, was, dare I say it, Dracula (2000). No way I'm ever watching Twilight. I watched in at noon time too when I was in high school (13-14) but I couldn't take it. When that happened too, there were rumours of vampires in our neighborhood and a missing woman, children found dead in the cemetery. Ugh I will not recall the rest.

Oh I remember that dracula. That one was pretty good. I don't think you have to be afraid of twilight, its just a love story that's more of a teen-girl-romance movie than a horror movie. That's scary what happened in your neighborhood though! Yikes! :O

In other news. Darlene's guitarist is really cute. And he came to our sound booth with our team leader (to check our setup and stuff).

I was caught offguard cause I thought they were new volunteers coming over, and I was in a corner eating snickers and trying to make my 4G work on my phone. While I was restarting my phone he reached out his hand to shake mine and I immediately regretted using my fingers to eat my snickers, I was also debating in my mind if I should smile knowing my teeth weren't probably... appealing, at the same time I thought, "why this guy is even cuter up close." And I realised he was asking me how I was and waiting for a response.. I ended up saying "Thank you.." For what, in particular, I don't know, but maybe for restoring my faith in men.

Overall, it was a fail.

^^That looks interesting, but I just can't get into animated movies. I have nothing against them, its just that I took a year long course in 3D animation once and so the magic and mystery of it just isn't there for me anymore..
