It irks me when little things like this, irk others. Guess that makes me one of them. :p

the point is, this is SINGLES. and when I see someone post I expect them to be the same as me Single. no girlfriend/boyfriend, not engaged, not married.

Hey, you're okay. Tbh. None of us mind. Except WBM, apparently. But he can choose who he responds to. Not our problem. :)

Single people post threads on here all the time that require the valuable input of married people, anyway. There wouldn't be any reason for Singles to be 100% totally just Singles UNLESS it were a dating website (which it is not :rolleyes: ).

As a former Single, I have always appreciated the input/support/point of view of married folks on here. ^u^

And it's not false advertising... there's this cool little button thing that people can update on their profile that says, "married"... (Although frankly I would love it of Robo would put in an option for "taken," or "in a relationship," for those of use who aren't quite hitched, yet.)

Since this forum is going to become the land of false advertising. im out. RIP singles, shame that most people here don't seem to actually be single.

Perhaps part of the issue is how the title of the forum is interpreted. One person is interpreting "Singles" to mean the forum is only for those who are single (and therefore the posters are available for relationships). Another (including myself) is interpreting the title to mean that the discussions are oriented toward issues singles have to deal with.

I was single until I was 43. I wonder if anything I went through might be helpful to others.

The fact is that unless the forum is specifically restricted to the unmarried, there is nothing anyone can do about who posts here. One can only hope / wish that those who post here meet ones own expectations. But life doesn't always meet ones expectations (ask any married couple:)).

It might be possible that there are one or two married people who can contribute to the wisdom of their single brothers and sisters before they make a life changing decision. I think that might be the motivation of many of the married posters.

Let's not begrudge them their desire to be supportive of their single brothers and sisters.

I'm sorry for having a temper tantrum like a child. I know better and I should've ignored the whole thing. I apologize.
