Each day I pick the things that are the most important to take care of (my Fathers immediate needs), and then I play a constant game of catch-up with the rest. I can't get every thing done every day, so I have to pick and choose. If I am really lucky, I can squeeze an hour or two late at night to peruse a journal article or two while my computer hums away grinding iterations. Some days I can get the yard work done, some days not and I have to work like a sled dog when I get the opportunity to catch back up. Overall, it's exhausting and I've been driven to tears from the stress more than a few times.

Let us pray that he gets the help he needs. Thank you.

I hope this is something you are open to pursuing as a career because if you can convert it to physical technology, you might have a groundbreaking career ahead of you.

I recently read how research is going on in using a crystalline matrix for memory storage. Using UV (or higher freq) lasers may allow for greatest data density.

I also wonder if one might be able to use manufactured molecular level devices to store data bits. Of course, how to maintain them in a 3 dimensional structure is beyond me.

... unless one might grow them within a crystalline matrix???

Hmmm.
I'm finding a limit to the compression level available. There is a physical limit to how small I can compress a bit of data that still retains all the information about the whole data structure the bit resides in. To me, this is just a way to get the PhD. I don't care if anything ever comes of it. Maybe the final paper will be useful to some grad student somewhere and they can build a working prototype storage device. Maybe it collects dust in the cloud. Either is acceptable to me.

My Son's birthday is today, he's 11. When my kid's have birthday's I get emotional. Happy emotional. They're both miracles to me. I wasn't sure if I'd ever be able to carry a baby full term and then I had two a year apart. God answered my prayers. Thank you God.

Fractals and fractal art can be quite stunningly beautiful :)

Thank you, Miri, for the green and purple one you posted :)

Here are a few fractals, and fractal art pieces, that I found:

I got on this website with a bowl of oatmeal before 7 this morning. Here it is after 10 am and I haven't finished my bowl of oatmeal nor accomplished anything else yet today.

Am I becoming an addict?

10:22 - I finished the oatmeal! That is one thing accomplished today.

Maybe I will try for two and go take a nap.

It taste OK eating just out of the can. No need to heat on the stove or the microwave. Who has time for all of that drama?

FWIW, I have been eating "Refried Black Beans" right out of the can for years. They have a lot more texture and flavor than regular refried beans. I use a bit of Louisiana hot sauce and it is great for a quick meal when you're too busy on the computer to make a real meal.
