My heart is full and my soul is satisfied in my God. He planted the heavens and fathomed the furthest reaches of creation. He set in bonds the elements he created. I have a need to talk about "The Song of Songs". I have read it through several times (If you have never red it through in one sitting you don't know what you are missing).
It is a writing of three paths and a journey taken by the bride searching for her groom, glimpses of her lover were like myrrh dripping from the door handle, of the door to your very you. All she wants to do is drown in the essence of her lover but he's gone and she has to start searching again running about in urgency and coming across a couple of city guards on night patrol, not wanting any trouble or if there was they would finish it before it started.
They beat her and sent her away but the glimpses of the groom and the vision of The bridegrooms appearance as He skips over the hill singing the praises of his love for his bride, means she cant stop looking and searching for Him. Not to earn His love but in response to it, she is captivated by His beauty and His strength, she loves Him and wants nothing More that to entwine herself with her lover, . . but He is pulled from her grasp again.
Have a look, takes about an hour and a half, may be two to do, its a bit saucy, it's evocative, its beautiful and enriching it shows the love Jesus has for us, for His Church, and it reflects the life of love, from the love it receives.
And there is a third party in this play or drama action, 'friends', friends that ply with "Good intentions" and poke their nose in and start saying what was on their mind taking no heed of anyone else's mind. Its a good read and good story a great love affair and its true.
