May I sharpen my pencil? I'm sure I butchered it.

OOH! I remember another phrase.

Ich vish nicht!

I HAD to know that one so at least I could speak in German when the teacher called on me.

Yep, that's me.
Dont-Expect-Anyone-To-Understand-Your-Journey.jpg

It's still beneficial to attempt to understand another's journey--to put yourself in their shoes, empathize with them, attempt to see things through their life's lens. But, ya--we'll never completely and perfectly understand another person's journey. Only God can.

hi, Justin :)

another member recently reminded me that as the Lord leads us in our suffering, He teaches us compassion and understanding for those who are suffering, too. that much we can and should do.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. (2 Cor 1:3-4)

from what i've seen, you're very good at that :)
