So the landlord answered my email. She said that my lease allows "reasonable accomodation" for 1 cat, but they'll need a doctor's note to allow me to get 2 cats. So I'll just get my neurologist to give her a good medical reason why I need TWO kittens.
The doctor will write you a note and the [cats] will then be assist animals for emotional reasons. I personally would stick to just 1 cat and opt out of being on record FOREVER that you have a mental disability. Medical history is FOREVER. Just my 2 cents..

A topic that has been on my mind a good bit today is why does the world limit God?
Because they lean on their own understanding. When a person has experienced the presence of God and knows what it is to walk in the spirit, they realize just how reverent how great YHWH is! Praise the Lord that he draws us to HIM!!!

Umm, I don't have a mental disease. My ailments are PHYSICAL. :) Epilepsy is not a mental disability.

I didnt say that you did. Why would you conclude that I inferred that? For your circumstances, writing a note where you NEED two kittens will be on the grounds that you somehow emotionally need them for your EMOTIONAL health. Two kittens is not going to keep you from having a seizure! You want to find a way to have it your way but it will be on record and it will not shine a good light on you.

Either way, the landlord needs a doctor's note. I even had to have one when I moved from the 3rd floor, down to the 1st floor. But THAT was pretty much for health and safety reasons. As far as getting two cats, I probably won't, but I just wanted to ask the landlord to see what she'd say. My lease already allows me to have ONE, but they need a valid reason for me to have TWO.

I had my 15 year old cat put to sleep a month ago today. :( Needless to say, I'm lonely without her and she was the only company I had. She was a good companion and a great comfort to me while I went through many of my physical trials. She kept me from getting discouraged and depressed and giving up. With my back, I can't get out and do much, and I don't have anyone to help me here, and no one ever visits. The rest of my family is just as decrepit as I am..lol

Please pray for Samantha the cat to hurry and have her babies in the next few days, so I can finally pick out my new kitten. :)
