When God commanded Noah to build the ark He gave instructions about the animals:

"And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive." Gen 6:19-20

Where's the evolution between the account of creation in Gen 1 and the event of the ark Gen 6? There is none! Even later on in the Word:

"All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds" 1 Cor 15:39

Where is evolution between Gen 6 and 1 Cor 15? There is none!

What is the problem? Of course fowls are going to bring forth other fowls....do you expect them to give birth to a cow or a human? I don't understand your argument.

Darwin did nothing of the sort! He was an imaginative storyteller, a bitter old man and a competent plagarist. He helped send earth to Hell in a handbasket far quicker than is possible. His beliefs are beliefs that bring death. No good can come from Darwin and his teachings. He's responsible for so much agony in the world today.

Well...this is totally wrong... Sorry, you don't have a clue and haven't kept up with science. He wasn't an "imaginative storyteller", most of it turned out to be true. Some of what Darwin said also turned out false... He had no clue about genes, for example. How do his "beliefs bring death"? "No good can come from Darwin and his teachings"??? Seriously? All modern biology has Darwin at the basis. Because of him, we now understand how diseases evolve and we can keep up to date on antibiotics, etc... He is a hero! He's responsible for agony in the world today?? How so??? Maybe you should research a bit before you make these dubious claims..

The same way I imagine..... let the waters teem with living creatures. Which happens to be the one preceding the one you have referenced here.

So how exactly did waters give living creatures, how exactly did earth bring forth animals and plants, if you dont accept the theory of evolution?
What is your proposal about the way animals and plants were produced by waters and land?

Realize, that it was not "fiat" creation. Its not "God said let there be animals - and there were animals". It was the process of the waters and of the land. What kind of process it was, according to you?

And please, try to respond, not to ask me another question instead :)

OK, but in that case you would have to admit, that scientific data are OK and Universe, planet and life REALLY appear to be very old.
You could say it looks so and data confirms it, but it was created to only look old.
I would have nothing against that. I just dont think this theory fits in the complexity of proofs we have about the age of Universe.

great!

so if data collected from the natural world indicates an old universe, then that can still fit with six calendar-days.

but I don't understand
"I just dont think this theory fits in the complexity of proofs we have about the age of Universe."

how does it not fit?

Pretty much just science and evidence. I think that if it looks like something is more mythological based on what makes sense of what we see, it must have been mythological. I could be wrong. I don't think it in any way changes that Jesus is Lord. If anything, it just suggests that perhaps we should rethink our interpretations of the Bible and not make assumptions ourselves. God does not lie.

following that out, it would seem reasonable that Jesus didn't rise from the dead.

what we know from science tells us that truly dead people don't come back to life... ever.

for evidence, all we have is some ancient documents, of uncertain origin...

would you agree with that?

I think you are overthinking Exodus 20 too much. I really dont think the purpose of jewish week was to confirm 24 hours of creation days.
I cant see that in here.

And again - theological view, that does not match the reality around us, has to be wrong. Many people have found proof for almost every imaginable nonsense in the Bible. Real and true theology has to be consistent with all data we have.

does this fit with what you're saying:

the israelites worked six days and rested the seventh as a way of reenacting the story of God making everything in six stages and resting the seventh?

It does add information - about the high age they lived in that time period.

I can try to find the source about no non-telescoped genealogies. It may take some time.
But again, siting there, talking about two possible explanation of Bible, from which only one fits reality... does not seem right :)

information about long lives would be more in how many total years they lived than how old they were when one of their sons was born... gen 5 contains high ages (decreasing) when son is born, gen 11 is comparable to today... imo...

I'm interested in any information you have about no non-telescoped genealogies... so yes, take some time and research it... plzzzz

say, this might be an interesting thing to explore...

what does mainstream science say about humans living almost a thousand years back then?

I believe the Bible,

"All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds" 1 Cor 15:39

this post really got me thinking...

I think mainstream science would say that human flesh *is* animal flesh.

so I think this verse would be in conflict with reality, the reality based on data from the natural world.

did Darwin or any modern scientist can explain the Soul and how it evolve or came to be?

what we think time is, for God can move forward or backward in time at will. For a 1,000,000 yrs can be a minute or viseversa.

evo in a minute can be plausible in spirit time. Surely people of long ago had not the Intel to know such things. Thus creation in 6days is plausible.

God spoke. Let there be light, let the land bring every living kind, let the waters teem with life.
The only time He got his hands dirty is when he fashioned Adam out of the dirt and when He performed surgery on Adam to make Eve.

Did you know that your words have the power to create life? Obviously not on the level that God does but create you do.

It strikes me that you're the one here who's not educated. Read up on Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Trotsky, Lenin etc. Their beliefs were consistent with and born out of the evolutionary mindset. Also, Darwin has done nothing for biology or anything. If anything, his bull has set science back many, many years. And suicides multiplied by orders of magnitude upon evolution being taught as truth in schools. Maybe you should do some research.

You go to Darwin to get your ideas before you go to the Bible. This is a Bible discussion forum. You got to back yourself up with the Bible.

So Darwin had no clue about genes but all modern biology has Darwin at its basis? Ok...if you say so. Here is a little irreducible complexity for you. You should look into the concept. Pretty fascinating really.....more fascinating than Darwin and all his malarkey.

You did not get my point.
To say "let the earth bring forth creatures" is not the same as to say "let there be creatures".

So I ask you how exactly the earth brought forth creatures of all kinds.

Kisses,

An apt quote: ‘Biological arguments for racism may have been common before 1850, but they increased by orders of magnitude following the acceptance of evolutionary theory.’

No I get your point. You're saying that the earth and its machinations created life over time starting with a simple celled organism. I think you're reading into it something that isn't there. If that is true where are the transitional species in the fossil record? It should be teeming with millions and millions of them. We only find animals as they are.

Please, try to respond to my question, how the earth brought forth living creatures :) Only that, you dont have to refute fossils, transitional species etc.
Only try to respond to that verse from Genesis :) Thats all I want.

I did. I said you're reading into it something that isn't there. Maybe Tin can give us some Hebrew to clarify what the words "let" and "bring forth" etc are in the original texts. And what I said is relevant to your question.
