I may not understand what Jesus Christ says, but it is dangerous to say that therefore He was mistaken in what He said. It is never right to think that my obedience to a word of God will bring dishonor to Jesus. The only thing that will bring dishonor is not obeying Him. To put my view of His honor in place of what He is plainly impelling me to do is never right, although it may arise from a real desire to prevent Him being put to open shame. I know when the proposition comes from God because of its quiet persistence: When I have to weigh the pros and cons, and doubt and debate come in, I am bringing in an element that is not of God, and I come to the conclusion that the suggestion was not a right one. Many of us are loyal to our notions of Jesus Christ, but how many of us are loyal to Him? Loyalty to Jesus means I have to step out where I do not see anything (cf. Matthew 14:29); loyalty to my notions means that I clear the ground first by my intelligence. Faith is not intelligent understanding, faith is deliberate commitment to a Person where I see no way.
Are you debating whether to take a step in faith in Jesus or to wait until you can see how to do the thing yourself? Obey Him with glad reckless joy. When He says something and you begin to debate, it is because you have a conception of His honor which is not His honor. Are you loyal to Jesus or loyal to your notion of Him? Are you loyal to what He says, or are you trying to compromise with conceptions which never came from Him? "Whatsoever He says to you, do it."

Mondays are not good days for me to be on the forums. I've only been here a few days but I have already developed a foul taste in my mouth for a lot of people kind of like when you burp too hard and a little puke rises to the top. I think I'll enjoy the day outside and let the forums fester as they will.

Look, I truly get that there isn't always a Christian Spirit of love and Grace going on here. But a quick stroll down your past 20+ posts reveal that you have no intention in trying to be a positive Christian force on these boards. This is one of the few threads where the kind of unloving behavior you have railed about for days now usually doesn't occur.

YOU, and me, and the next guy, and so forth have the POWER to be a positive, loving, Christ-like force that can uplift a hurting brother or sister, and share in praises to our precious Lord, Jesus Christ.

Peace, Grace, and Love to you.

I appreciate your input. Thank you. If you wish to be a positive, loving, Christ-like force, then I certainly won't get in your way. I am not positive; I am pessimistic. I am not loving; I don't know what love is or what it feels like or looks like. I am not our Lord Jesus Christ; I am just a younger man trying to turn from his once sinful ways and learn about his faith.

If you want to take up the charge to be a force for good on the boards, then God Speed to you sir. I am content to watch you from the bench.

Thank you brother for your honesty. I think pessimism and not feeling loved is a type of pain. Sometimes we can wear our pain like an old comfortable yet ugly coat. Too afraid to take it off for fear of a greater pain. I wish I could take your pain away friend. I'm sorry if my post added to your pain.
But if you want a greater understanding of Faith in Jesus He asks us to take off our coats of pain and accept His love and freely give it to others.

I believe the Lord has shown me the incredible value of every person. Peace to you, and I pray this place would help heal any wounds you bear.

Hello Darlene, doing about the same, God is in control. Still doing all the dr things, breathing test/treatment, still not working to good. They want me to think about doing stem cell, told them no I'd have to go across the pond to have it done, plus 1-2 year process, just going to trust God. When He's ready to call me home, I'm ready.

April is doing great, her hair is ffinally long enough to brush. That right there made her more happy than any thing. She goes in for test every 4 weeks, so far, the test have showed everything is fine. She'll have to have the plate changed in a few years, don't know how many. As her head and brain grows, the plate will become to small. I don't see her as much these days, rainy, cold and just plain messy. Spring is here, I'll see her more and more, she still rides to church with the wife and I, spends all day Sunday with us. She helps the wife prepare Sunday dinner, we eat, play some games, she takes a nap, then my wife takes her home.

We haven't been able to ride the horses, because of the weather. It needs to be dryer, so mud don't get in there hooves. In the summer, we can dig it out, then wash it out. If you don't get all the wet mud out, it turns to a fungi, then the fungi, turns to hoof rot. If hoof rot occurs, she have to put the horse down. We've rode them once since Christmas, had two weeks of no rain, plus drying out time. Oh, if you get a horse wet in the winter, they'll get sick and may die, hence the reason for not washing the mud out of their hooves. She feeds all of the horses each day, built up a great bond with them. She also gives them 4 apples and 8 carrots a day, along with about a quart of sweet feed per horse. If you feed them to much sweet feed, they'll overdose on sugar. So she's learning how to care for them, and they love her to no end. We're riding this afternoon, before the storms get here tonight. We'll leave around noon, get back before dark. She loves Mingo more than she loves Chewey, Chewey being the German Shepard that we got for her. Over all, she's a very loving child, loves to read stories about God/Jesus, has a ton of questions, which is a good thing.

Thank you for the prayers and hugs, I pray for you and Tourist on a daily basis. I'm so ready for Jesus to return.

Hello Darlene, you're welcome for the up date and the prayers. I'm glad that you and Tourist did get to spend some time with Melisa and Dan. Easter is always special, even more so with family. One day Jackie and the kids will get down, you'll get to spend time with the grands. So happy you all had a nice time. Yes, I'm thankful that Jesus paid the price, that we couldn't pay.

Seems like when I'm on the board, you're not. Today, I went back and started reading the whole thread again. They were a few tears that fell, a lot of laughing. Overall, I said, I sure do miss those days, plan on reading more later on. I just wish the whole gang, could get back together again. We may be able to take the thread another 3,000 pages. Just miss all the fellowship that we had, plus the friendship. They are some that email still, but some have left. Anyway, good to hear from you again. Frank

Frank, I am in full agreement with you on that. When this thread started I was going through a really difficult time and as a result of this I came to know a handful of awesome people that I keep in contact with outside of this site and because of that I am blessed and was able to heal :)

Yea, I think a lot of us were going through a rough patch. It was the uplifting of each other that got us through.
I just miss quite a few of the gang, just don't know what happened to them. It sure would be nice to know that they were alright. I'm like you, I have some that we email each other. However, I still miss the others.

Have you heard from Kody? It's been a while since I've seen him post. I pray for him daily also, because I know his battle is on going.

Hey, I still read posts, I just haven't seen much to comment on. It would be nice to get the gang back together though.

So a couple weeks ago I wore a superman shirt to my doctor's appointment. It just had the S symbol...the doctor walks in, sees the shirt and says that he has one just like it, so we should go fight crime together. :p

Well, so good to hear from you. I knew you were still doing the dr thingy, like me.
Yea, after reading about 250 pages today, it brought back a lot of the memories.
I hope to be on more, not sure though, it's up to God.

I thought you and Mikey were the crime fighters. Well, I guess having a dr with you might help if you get hurt.
Then again, he might be the reason you get hurt, just don't know.

Hey folks, just dropping by to say hey:) It is such a nice day over here, spring has definitely arrived and snow is but a memory (not entirely...lol). The weather forecast is nice, no more cold days, no more icy roads:) Easter was nice too, the weather was fantastic and we were enjoying five days off! Now I'm back to working, but I can see the nice weather from my office window:)

I wish everybody a nice day:)

But yknow, the healthy do not need a doctor.
