I don't wear nail polish anymore because my nails just get torn up at work, but when I did, it was back in the day before nail art exploded. Colors like blue and purple were hard to find, and people would look at you funny (labeling you as "bad" or "questionable") if you did.

I used to paint one hand green and the other hand purple (kind of like the Joker.) I also did a pastel rainbow (different color on each nail) for Easter. The only people that appreciated mixed colors like that were people my own age.

All the adults thought it made you some kind of weirdo.

#GoBig or #GoHome. :D

And for your information, Roh, when it comes to blinding people with fluorescents, I was the queen, seeing as I got into the "fluorescent clothes" trend BIG TIME. (Pink and lime--at the same time--were my favorite back then.)

I just had a donut and hot chocolate from Dunkin Donuts! MMMM...Lots of chocolate this morning! I already did a work out, but have another with a friend at lunch. So I figure it will be a wash!

Oh man I completely forgot about munchkins! We didn't have a DD here for like 20+ years and they just opened one locally a couple years ago but I only found out about it a few months ago. Before that I lived on the east coast and we used to buy donuts there pretty regularly and my friends and I sometimes ate there late on saturday nights. :)

our krispy kreme shut down. we have other donut shops. i work across the street from 2 of them. the struggle is real in the morning because i can smell the deliciousness!

and then after work, i can smell the food from the chinese restaurant from down the street.

It is quite a struggle at times. Now I'm hungry for Chinese. Some Chinese buffets have little donuts. There is hope yet.

I hate to be a downer here, but this thread was a lot less fattening when we were all talking about nudity... ;)
 
ARGH.

I am becoming one of THOSE people. You know, the person who watches cat videos all day, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

It's just that there are a hundred million other things I SHOULD be doing.

But this has got to be one of the cutest things I've seen in a long time:

I can't have cats because I'm allergic (and don't want to get shots) and even if I could, I probably wouldn't because of working a lot.

I need to find someone with an affectionate cat. Seriously. I'm basically looking for the equivalent of grandchild in the form of a cat. I just want to love on it for a while, buy it some cool toys... and then give it back to its owner at the end of the day.

On a related note... I'm finally getting the demotion I wanted! Woohoo! No pay cut or anything, I just get away from the phones and emails. The lady from the company that moved in, she and I have kind of clicked too, and I'm hoping she'll show me some of the more technical stuff she does.

Then, it's only a matter of time...
