You want your husband kissing your feet? Is he a dog? Gosh I feel sorry for him. Shawn, MY HUSBAND is a smart man and has only here said what so many men are afraid of saying because women just give men who speak up for themselves crap.... I encourage men to speak up like this more because like Ive said before, respect goes both ways and sadly women think they own the world now a days ...

Quote "You want your husband kissing your feet? Is he a dog? "

I didn't say my husband should kiss MY FEET. I said Shawn should kiss HIS WIFES feet! Nice try though, you might want to actually read the response next time.

Quote " Shawn, MY HUSBAND "

Ya, I doubt that. Nice try though Shawn.

Quote "is a smart man and has only here said what so many men are afraid of saying because women just give men who speak up for themselves crap"

A smart man, well everyone has an opinion... Women? What women? You know what all women want? I thought only God and Mel Gibson knew that. My husband isn't intimated by a woman who can speak and think for herself. But hey,I prefer a mature man, thats just me.

Quote "I encourage men to speak up like this "

I bet you do Shawn. But I don't see any men cowering here asking you to pick up for them because they are so afraid of women. Im pretty sure the men in here can handle themselves without your love coaching.

Quote "respect goes both ways and sadly women think they own the world now a days'

Of course respect goes both ways. What women think they own the world? In what way? What stats do you have to back your opinion up? Yes, there are nasty women out there, yes there are man hating feminists but there are males that are jerks out there and abuse women. So what? You don't say all women or all men, thats your opinion, its not fact.

Oh so youre respecting Shawn by telling people how bad he is.... nice... =) Such a Godly man you are.
You have much to learn so I'll give you a pass on your life's inexperience thus far. Calling people out is much more godly than allowing their demonic ways to go unfettered. Read Matthew 23 and see how Jesus handled Pharisees.

• Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have be thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they get home and the prospect of a good meal is part of the warm welcome needed.
• Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you’ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh-looking. He has just been with a lot of work-weary people.
• Be a little gay and a little more interesting for him. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
• Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Run a dustcloth over the tables.
• During the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering to his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
• Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer or vacuum. Encourage the children to be quiet.
• Be happy to see him.
• Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him.
• Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first – remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
• Don’t greet him with complaints and problems.
• Don’t complain if he’s late for dinner . Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through at work.
• Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or lie him down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him.
• Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
• Don’t ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.

Hopefully yo will have learned something :rolleyes:.

I don't think so......

UMMMM.....I must be missing these threads where woman are saying this. I simply seek a godly man who can financially support himself, can make me laugh and has the old fashioned values. I mean I handle everything myself including washing and waxing cars, the lawn, the pool, changing the oil, etc... So why do I need a man for anything like vacuuming my rug or making me dinner. SHOULD they choose too as they are home and I am not, great. If they are not leaching off of me and laying around playing video games then I have no issues that the rug wasn't vacuumed and HELLO simply call for a pizza if everyone is to tired to make dinner.

I would say any woman asking for these things wants respect from their husband as to what they do at home all day and acknowledgment it is NOT easy as they think. AND EVERY WOMAN deserves to feel loved and spoiled now and then with flowers. Just a gesture of hey I love you, I respect you, I find you hot goes a long way with a woman. So as a woman I guarantee if they are asking for something, the man is failing in some way and there isn't clear communication. THAT I cannot help with. Communication and GOD must be the cornerstone of a good relationship.
((taking good notes))

Like I always say "if you don't want it kicked don't stick it out there"! The arrogance was too much. Had to get the paddle out.

Sounds like something I heard of straight out of the 40's or 50's. Most women didn't work then.

Yeah, she's married to one man yet so vehemently protective of another married man on the other side of the planet. And an atrociously arrogant man at that. Nope! Ain't happenin'.

Does Shawn feel that the only way to get his point across that he is "correct in his way of thinking and that everyone should follow him no matter what" is to make up a female username to reply to his posts?

Sounds controlling to me.

If I was Shawn's wife I would watch this video.

Quote "I'm talking about sites where men ask women for advice for making their significant other happy."

What are you reading man? Cosmo?! Are these Christian women? Link us to all these sites as proof of what you are saying why don't you? Since there are so many.

Quote " will expect of you to be a old fashion godly women"

Which is what? Barefoot and pregnant? Ever read Proverbs 31? If you wife is able to stay at home blessings on her but not everyone is able to do that.

Quote "
You cannot be a high-powered career woman and be a stay at home house mom who tends to the children."

Many women don't have a choice. My grandmother had six boys and raised them all on her own. A friend of my sisters just lost her husband to cancer,he was 30. She has two girls and a baby on the way. She has no support, she is going to have to take care of everything alone. You don't know what people are going through.

Quote "
someone is going to get neglected more than the other."

Plenty of stay at home mothers have neglected children. There are good and bad mothers that work or stay at home. Neither circumstance makes a good of bad mother. Anything else is merely your opinion.

Quote "
You don't need him for anything so why should he be around?"

Because being a spouse isn't a job,not for most of us. As I said my husband told me,he didn't need a housewife,he could care for the house without me. He said he was marrying me because HE LOVED ME. Imagine that!! He appreciates that I take care of everything, but he didn't marry me for that reason.

Quote "
So what if he plays video games? Are you suddenly going to nag him when he does what he wants in his own free time? "

Did she not say she was working and he was laying around doing nothing and taking advantage? Are you sure your 30? You talk like your not yet out of your teens. My husband plays video games AFTER work,AFTER bills are paid,AFTER responsibilities are taken care of.Thats what she meant. Actually I play videos with him,Im one bad zombie killer.

Quote "
When I lived alone, I had to only clean my house once every 2 weeks to keep things organized and I could get it done within 1-2 hours. I don't think your fooling men into believing that house-work is hard. Its not. Its easy, its fast, its efficient. "

Im totally raising the bull crap flag on you. First, you were alone so big man, you threw your taco bell bag in the garbage. You cleaned your toilet every two weeks? Im glad I wasn't a guest at your house, men aren't known for their "aim". And sheets? Sticky floors? Wow!! Man you were a horrible house keeper!! I think you must be like the Febreeze commercial "nose blind" No wonder it took no time. House work is work if you do it right. Once every two weeks. Why, if you were my wife I'd fire you.

Quote "Really? Every woman? Even those women that throw their babies in microwave ovens and watch them fry to death? Even the women who throw them in garbage bags and leaves them to die? How sweet. Lets get them some flowers and hold the door open for the dears."

Wow, you have a high opinion of women. My husband is southern and opens doors for every women. He doesn't stop to ask if they deserve it or if they cooked their kid in the microwave. But hey, thats what a real man does.

Quote "If a guy asks the same thing, the same women will crucify him."

So you intimately know what every woman thinks and wants to you? Respect goes both ways in my marriage. we put each other first, always. Not because we force each other,or demand but because we love each other enough to do so.

Quote "And that right there is why many women on here are single and without mates"

You don't know any of the women on here. You're just being a judgmental jassastor.

If you don't know how to communicate learn it or stay single. No relationship works without communication. Women and men are different and if you love each other you'll learn to meet each others needs.
1. Go to the ladies forum or craigslist there are tons of women making lists of how real men should be.
2. How many women dont have a choice between career and children because they are either divorced or just got pregnant and the guy left. Good choice in a guy I say =)
3. Usually if you dont need a man they wont show up either, Im proof of that. When I met my man I started to notice that I actually DO need him. Love is also something you need, if he said to you he married you cause he loved you he needed love in his life, which most ppl do. If he didnt need you he wouldnt have married you.
4. Cleaning for me takes 1-2 hours. Idk where you live for it to be sooo hard... and I dont eat fast food...
5. Shawn was talking bout flowers, not opening doors. In Finland women open door for men too. how bout that? Have you ever opened a door for someone than yourself or are you the type of girl that stands around waiting for a man to open it for you... *rolls eyes*

I agree that we need to respect and communicate with eachother but Why do I keep seeing men on here getting crap for speaking out? It makes me really mad... I thought this was a christian site. I guess christianity is different where I live...
