As an Arab Christian, your sister in Christ, I can say there's nothing wrong with eating anything halal. It just means they say "in the name of God" before killing the animal... Also, I would suggest against being in relationship with a Muslim for the simple fact, that once you are married, he will try to convert you to islam. Also please know that they have no problem divorcing you. They will literally drop you so fast. Also, how does having sister wives sound? That sounds unholy and very gross to me. Do not be unequally yoked... it's what God says. You know, let me just nip this in the bud, I ask you, as your sister in Christ Jesus to reflect on the word of God. Also ask Jesus to reveal to you what He has planned for you. Ask Him to guide you and lead you.

I hope this is the right place to put this, but I was wondering if a Christian dating a Muslim is okay? I'm dating a Muslim and I love him so much. Also, are Christians allowed to eat Halal?
When people with different religious beliefs marry, they can have major difficulties stemming from those differences. Religion is a huge part of our lives.

As so many people have addressed the dating a Muslim part I thought I would explaine what Halal meat is.

Halal means permissable in Arabic where as Haram means forbidden. The Islamic form of slaughtering animals or poultry, involves killing through a cut to the jugular vein, carotid artery and windpipe. The blood has to be drained from the animal as Muslims are not allowed to consume the blood. The animal has to be killed by a Muslim and a prayer has to be said before it is slaughtered. Normally the animal is not stunned before it is killed. As a Christian it is up to you whether or not you eat Halal meat. Everything in Islam is goverened by rules. Alcohol is Haram so a practising Muslim will not drink alcohol. Some Christians, and some animal activists do not agree with eating Halal meat.

Like many others I suggest you read the Bible for yourself and then you can make up your own mind as to whether it is OK for a Christian to eat Halal meat or to date/marry this man. Personally like many others I believe it is wrong to date a non Christian as in the Bible it says do not be yoked with unbelievers 2Cor 6:14. Think about whether this relationship will make your relationship with God weaker or stronger, will it push you towards God or away.

I think one of the key points that has been made was made by Ugly and is about God's primary concern is not about our happiness. Many Christians and non Christians think God wants us to be happy but no where is this taught in the Bible. God wants us to be in relationship with Him and the only way we can have that relationship is through the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. God wants us to put Him first.

Even if you have the same faith, cross cultural relationships are hard. Interfaith marriages are almost always very difficult. Think about the future. Will he allow you to celebrate Christmas, will you be allowed to have a Christmas tree up. Will you be able to have wine in the house or pork if you still want a bacon sandwich. What will happen when he is fasting during Ramandan. If you have children they will have to be brought up as Muslims. I know you said you don't want children but what happens if things change and you or he decides you want children. I don't know how strict or how much he or his family practise his faith. What happens if he suddenly becomes religious wants you to start covering up or wearing a veil.

In the name of which god do they say that before killing the animal? Allah or Jesus? Because Allah is a false god. Jesus is the one true God. :)

Technically yes and no. I mean allah is an arab word for God however being that its "halal" a muslim would be saying it referring to the god of the quran, so yeah. I then agree it should be a small g in this case. :D Thanks, Kayla.

You should say the god of the quran is a false god. Because Arab Christians use the word Allah as it the standard word for God. However Arab Christians know God to be The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. So in regards to the halal thing and them saying, "In the name of god," they are referring to the god of the quran. Muslims have brainwashed the western world into thinking that is the name of their god when allah is a title just as we say the term "God"... We KNOW who our God is... The ONLY GOD... That's Father, Son, and Holy Spirit... Don't we now? So when you say Allah is a false god to an Arab Christian they like have to stay a step back because its as if you're blaspheming... No joke. I honestly did not know how much muslims have brainwashed the western world and how many others into thinking that allah is their god solely... When really, if you study Arabic, the culture, and/or attend an Arabic & English speaking church you will discover this for yourself.

Maybe she was a troll, maybe not. Not everyone who says these things is a troll. Some people just say stupid things and do stupid things.

If it were me, I would not as ramx would say want to wear a tent over me everyday....

I think you should listen to the good advice from the above posts....it's not good for Christians to be dating muslims or any other religions, you will be influenced and lose your faith before you even realize it....as the song goes...

run away run away run away and save your life....if you wan't to survive... - Real Mccoy song

Halal (as it pertains to food) is very similar to, but more strict than Jewish Kosher dietary restrictions. Basically 'Halal" means permissible in Arabic.
Actually I believe to be 'Halal' the food must be blessed to Allah. Thus you would be eating a food blessed to another 'god'.
