Well, of course you won't. Haven't you been listening? WWIII is going to begin in less than two weeks, and that is supposed to be the end of the world.... so you won't get a chance to live long enough to gain the experience.... that's really all I have going for me that you might yet lack.
Oh no, and then we'll have WWIV the day after the end of the world.

Was shy, quiet and self-disciplined because any misbehaving resulted in a front row experience of Mums boxing capabilities :)

I am totally and completely different from when I was high school. There's very little of me that hasn't changed completely. For instance:

I used to dream of getting a sound board like this

Peavey.jpg

and a computer like this

Apple_II.jpg

and a car like this

General Lee.jpeg

But now, in my old age, I have completely changed as you will see. I now own a sound board like this

behringer_x32-rack_1.jpg

Which I control with a tablet computer like this

mixing station.jpg

And I dream of getting a car like this

van.jpg

so that I can haul more sound gear around.
Easily, you can see that I am almost totally unrecognizable from the me I was in high school.

Oooosh high school! Top stream, over-committed, punny, socially drifting book worm. Didn't really belong to a certain group but new a lot of people. Brought a ball to school to play football. Put feet up on the chair next to me with my back against the wall in class. Always had beef with an English teacher (mainly due to the poor material we had to study) and always being asked to join the volleyball team and dance crew. Runner up for Head Girl (Class President). Shaved my hair off for Child's Cancer Foundation. Always made Athletics Champs but was never given permission by parents to attend so as to sacrifice the possibility of learning something new in class. On the class council and in the earlier years always in the library. All in all some of my best experiences and worst experiences of my life.

I was quiet, depressed, an atheist....stuck by myself....was bullied severely.

It wasn't until I found Christ at age 16 when I found out who I am and became popular and well loved.
Dude thatt is a testimony !

Anybody want to share a picture of yourself from High School?

Scan0001.jpg

That was senior prom. It started at 7pm I think, and I was back home and out of my rented tux by 9:30. My "date" wanted to go to a party and I declined, so she left and I just hung out for a few minutes before going home.

i was shy , quiet an introvert but later in my later teens I got filled with the Holy Spirit and loved my friends and anyone I loved God and people invited a couple to youth group shared my faith yeh lol my friends were nerdy or partly nerdy but i didnt want to spend time with them as gamers so sometimes to alot I read the bible in the library which now I later regret because while it was good that I had such a hunger for the Word of God I isolated myself and got majorly attacked by Satan in the library so lessons to be learned dont ioslate yoursleves many young christians do thats where the devil speaks to you.

I actuallt considered myself a missionary in my school. I just wish I could battled and over come fear and shyness to share Christ with more students, a book that chaanged my life during high school which was recommended to me by my godly grandma was "Heaven is so real" by Choo Thomas God changed my life through that book and I started to have powerful encounters with God I started to carry a blue English folder with a red cross on it I wanted people to know i was a christian and start conversations with them and I also had scriptures on my history folder

Young! :D

In the UK High school goes up to the age of 16 then you
do your main subject exams.

After that you can get a job or go into higher education if you want
to stay on in education, college for example, apprenticeships or vocational training.

Then at 18 it's onto university if you want to, unless you decide to
take a gap year out from education.

My High School was a single sex all girls school - not sure if they exist in the
USA. It was very traditional, respect and manners were drilled into us all.

We had to stand up every time a teacher walked into the classroom. We
had to wear a school uniform based on blue/white/pink but apart from the colours
it wasn't a rigid uniform with everyone wearing the same style.

I learnt the flute in high school and twice a week for half an hour, a music teacher
came into to give me one on one lessons (not just me but others also who
were learning various instruments). This meant I was able to sneak out of
regular lessons for half an hour twice a week.

My main academic subjects were
English
Maths
Biology
Physical Science (which was like physics but not quite so full on)
Geography (I loved learning about other places)
History (Absolutely loved history, think I was the only one)
Art
There were other subjects also, sort of more casual easy going subject
matter slotted inbetween the rest. Like personal development can't actually
remember what we did in that class! Cooking this was good if it coincided around
lunch time.

The art teacher was in her 60' why she hadn't retired I have no idea. I think she
came with the building. :) She was outrageous and a bit eccentric, she was a people
watcher and use to tell us all her observations about semi naked people running
around on beeches with bits hanging out!
She was the only teacher who managed to make the pupils blush, usually it was
the other way around.

My own registration/class room teacher was way too meek and mild sometimes it
was embarrassing watching him trying to control a class of 30 teenage girls.
He insisted on calling us all young ladies and tried to treat us as if we were
all grown ups, we ran rings around him! Poor bloke!

Memorable moments, well apart from the above, one stands out in particular.
A newbie male stand in biology teacher had to take our class for a few weeks to provide
cover. At the time he arrived we were smack bang in the middle of the
reproductive system! I don't think that poor man managed to get through a single
lesson without turning beetroot red. Imagine teaching a group of giggling teens!

The physical science teacher a woman, was like this real feminist man hater, she also
was like a female member of the gestapo. I swear she would have had us goose stepping
if she could. Female science teachers were rare in those days so I suppose she had
stepped on a lot of toes to get where she was.

There wasn't any bullying that I was aware of. It was "simply quite unacceptable
and not at all lady like" ethos of the school.

Ah those were the days young and care free. :)

Hey Everyone,

This is something I've wanted to ask for a while:

* What were you like in high school? What groups/clubs/cliques did you belong to?

* Who were your friends? Who were your favorite teachers, and why?

* What were your favorite subjects, and what did you intend to do after high school? (Did it go as planned?)
I just graduated this past summer (June of 2015) and I'd be glad to entertain with an answer :)
-I was outgoing when I wanted to be but mostly an off-the-radar kind of girl. I was considered smart by my peers though in a small school, like mine was, that doesn't mean much. Academically I participated in Business Professionals of America, socially participated in our school's Video Game Club (that's where I met a lot of nerd bros who I still game with), but my real love was sports. I bounced around from one sports-season to another: tennis, soccer, cross country, and my favorite, Olympic Lifting.
-Because of small-school status and my participation in group activities, my spectrum of friends was large but I always maintained a relationship with my two best friends that I had known since I was 3. Unfortunately for us, we were all boy crazy, and though we all claimed to be Christians, we toed the line quite a bit and my two friends ended up pregnant before we graduated. My by far favorite teacher was Mr. Wilshire, the math wizard. He was intelligent, witty, cared for everyone's individual needs, and lived his faith in God.
-I excelled at math because I loved the simple sense it made (and because of Mr. W) and was pretty good at reading/writing/lit. because I was a total book worm. I knew I didn't want to go to college right away and also, during my Senior year, I was struggling with my identity as a Christian (I realized how I was misrepresenting Christ to others by my actions) so I decided to take a break and serve and search for God whole-heartedly.

So here I am, in Taiwan, volunteering at The Home of God's Love orphanage and feeling closer to God than I've ever been before. The plan from here is to study the Word and try to live by God's direction.

I grew up in a small town and used to skip class to hang out with this punk rock kid. One day his mom left a tray of pot brownies in his room. Soon high school really did become HIGH school for about three years until I got arrested for planting mushrooms in the locker of this kid who used to bully me. He was expelled but my girlfriend got drunk and told his sister it was me and they let me graduate after apologizing. I became a Christian soon after.

I went to a high school for rejects. I sat at the reject table. That's right. I was an outcast in a school full of outcasts. One of my lunch table buddies was born with no arms. One was a chick wearing dresses and combat boots that shaved the bottom half of her head. One was a mousy looking preppy who wasn't as innocent as she looked. And Mr Popular (literally the most popular guy in school) sometimes came and sat with us. hahaha. Go figure. He was actually a really nice guy, Christian, too.
I had long hair, carried a bible. So yeah. I was 'too metal' for Christians and 'too religious' for secular metal heads. Fun times in HS. =P

* What were you like in high school? What groups/clubs/cliques did you belong to?

I was home schooled but was a student leader in my youth group, captain of the drama team (which wasn't much to brag about, I'm afraid) and didn't really fall into any category really. Too poor to be preppy, too straight laced to be grunge. I was pretty well liked and confident by the time I hit my teens. It was my early childhood that was problematic. (Shy, nerdy, discontent.) I was saved at 13 and my life changed for the better.

* Who were your friends? Who were your favorite teachers, and why?

I had two best friends from my public school days, and some friends from youth. I still keep up with my closest friends. Had lunch with one a few weeks ago. My teacher was my mother, soooo. I took some art classes that I loved though.

* What were your favorite subjects, and what did you intend to do after high school? (Did it go as planned?)

Art, Literature, Poetry. I actually just kinda wanted to get married and have a family after high school, and that's exactly what happened. I don't regret missing college at ALL. I'm exactly where God wants me to be right now with my career.
