No, but ant larvae is said to have a greater protein content than farmgrown livestock.

So...
Yeah...I'll stick to livestock. :p

BTW, best book on drawing the human face that I have EVER READ:
The Artist's Complete Guide to Drawing Facial Expressions
by Gary Faigin.
Highly, highly recommend this one.

Took my skill level from retarded grade school humans to very life-like.
Thanks! That sounds great. I'll look for it soon. ;)

I just noticed today, that we're paying 103.9 cents per litre. That's a heck of a lot better than it's been for the new millennium! Australia doesn't do gallons, only litres.

Apparently ranging from 134 to 157 cents here. (Yeah, we also do litres)
in "comparison", a 24 hour bus ticket in my area costs $7.92 and a single journey costs between 4 and 6 dollars

Friday night was my husband's work Christmas party, which was made up of five parts- anti-social hour (during which you and your guest could get one free drink each, thereafter purchasing drinks for 2 1/2x the normal price, and everyone picked their tables according to the department they work in and proceeded to pretend the other departments were non-existent), prime rib dinner (served cold, because...that's how we do quality in this area), entertainment provided by a comedian (whose entire act centered around trying to get very stiff, uptight people to loosen up and participate in...anything), a prize drawing for cash and fancy electronics that were won by people who actually COMPLAINED about the prize they won despite having entered their tickets into the box FOR that prize, and drunken dancing hour in the hotel bar (which appeared to be great fun for those who actually were drunk, but not so much for those who only had a glass of wine with dinner).

Not a bad evening out, if only for the fact that it was an evening out.

And then my phone blew up.

That's only partly true- the battery had already swelled and was pushing the screen out, but Saturday morning, the glue gave out and the screen popped off, all of which made a scary sound and convinced me I should probably stop using that phone.

And then I came down with the plague, which is really just a fairly gnarly cold, but as my entire family is in various stages of it, it seems worse.

But! On the bright side of...whatever...I feel good enough today to rearrange furniture and go sledding and I have two freezers full of fresh elk meat and propane is cheap and there's a unicorn in my living room.

Hopefully the unicorn didn't see what y'all did to that poor elk.

All it will take is for crosstweed to read it and the secret of the elk is out. She is the official keeper of the unicorns. LOL
"If a Unicorn Sees an Elk... In a A Deep-Freezer... What Does That Make the Unicorn?"

I'll wait for crosstweed to finish the title of this new, eagerly-anticipated thread!!

If it's an entire, live elk, it makes the unicorn confused and extremely impressed and slightly envious of the elk's remarkable and heretofore unknown and unheard of contortionist abilities. A truly remarkable and talented animal.

HAHAHAHA :D Im giddy with anticipation! lol
Dude... you really shouldn't take so much anticipation if it affects your mind like that... all things in moderation. xD

So, does someone who knows more about mobile phones than I do want to take a shot at this problem:

I just discovered that my cell phone wasn't working properly. I have my brother's old smartphone which still has Android version 4.1.2 on it. It's not naturally updating though I've looked into it and could probably update it to version 4.4 .

Anyway, I started having trouble with getting notifications (of things like text or google hangouts messages) in a timely manner. Went online and read about what to do and downloaded a little app called the push notifications fixer and that seemed to work out great. Until I tried to call my mom the other day in an area where I didn't have Wifi (and I'm on a cheapy prepay plan that doesn't include data so basically no internet connection) and the phone wouldn't make the call. I experimented some and have determined that somehow when I'm out and about without any internet / data connection the notification fixer messes up my phone so I can't make a normal cell call. Not sure exactly why or how.

So the basic problem is that right now I either have a phone that doesn't get me text messages and other app notifications in a timely manner or a phone that is basically useless for phone calls if I'm not connected to wifi. Any ideas on how to fix this (other than coughing up money for a data plan I'm not going to use)? Thanks in advance techno nerd type peeps.
