Molasses Cookie Cake
Yesterday, I was going to make a batch of Molasses cookies, but, SOMEHOW, I messed up the mixing procedure, and the dough would not properly mix into a dough that could be baked. Standing there wondering what to do with the bowl full of mess I had created, a wee light bulb went off! BAKE A CAKE! Hmm..........how to turn a messed up bowl of Molasses cookie mix into a cake mix? MILK! Yup, I added about a 1/8th cup of milk, got the dough to properly mix into what resembled a cake mix texture........dumped the mess into an 8 inch square glass baking dish, put in a preheated 375 degree oven and baked for about 20 minutes.
WOW.............WOW.............WOW!
I was completely surprised just how good the cookie mix cake came out! It was delicious! Opened up a can of peach slices in lightly sweetened juice, poured some over top of the cookie cake...........and PIGGED OUT!
Proof enough that God can take our messes and turn them into something good!
