Hi all,

I'm new here. I'm a relatively mature Christian man from Australia. I'm married to a beautiful Christian woman and we have children and grandchildren.

We recently moved to a small, remote community and don't have a lot of Christian friends in this area, so I came here hoping to find some new friends....

I have a full time job and other (time) commitments but hope to find enough time to get to know a few of you.

In the meantime, I'll probably just 'watch' from somewhere in the background.

God Bless.

Thanks for the welcome. I intend to do more than just "lurk" (that term has an oddly negative connotation in the context of a Christian forum.... lol).

I'm not much of a conversation starter, and although I have spent some time on forums in the past, this is my first time "logging in" to a Christian specific forum. So I may just have to feel my way a bit.

Thanks for the welcome. My wife is not much of a technology person.... so I wouldn't hold your breath, but you never know. Stranger things have happened. :)

Well, we do have some stuffed-shirts. And then we have those of us some say are degenerate sinners... like me.

"degenerate sinners"? They are the best kind! If someone had to give His life for us, it may as well be for the ones that really needed it (like ME).

Glad I could be of service.... lol. So, anything interesting, amazing... or otherwise going on in the great state of Texas?
This guy said that he was from another state up north and he claimed that you do not see the amount of new construction for businesses and such in his state so I guess Texas is getting even bigger. The rodeo will be here in Febuary. Two days ago I wore a jacket but yesterday shorts and a Tshirt. My advice to you is to get an authentic Tex Mex cookbook you wont regret it. There is good food in Texas.

What about you do you have any recipes from down under? Please remember there are no kangaroos in Texas.

I don't know much about recipes.... but on the off chance you ever come downunder and happen run across one of our friendly "grass hoppers" (read: /ˌkæŋɡəˈruː/ ) then you might want to try this recipe.

One thing I do love is Vegemite on toast (or crumpets) for brekky... !
