Sometimes people confuse cynicism and realism. I think this is more realism. And it applies to just about everything we do for entertainment - golf, football, books, video games - I've heard a lot of people trying to dig around for something to make their time-suckers look good. It's something to use up your free time so you won't be bored. In its proper place that's a good thing and it doesn't need to be justified. If it is taking up time you should be spending elsewhere that's a bad thing and it shouldn't be justified.People trying to justify watching a certain TV show are ridiculous. There's no real reason to watch almost any TV show beyond entertainment.
"But there's a deeper message to it!" ...Okay? So? It's still a form of entertainment. That's all it is.
I like my share of different TV shows, don't get me wrong. But I'm not going to try to justify watching them by trying to say, "Well the overall message of it is this and that and I just love it!" I'm watching it because I'm bored. It's a form of entertainment. End of story.
The depths of my cynicism amazes me at times.
I have no idea what you're talking about.katie is obsessed with once upon a time.
