Does anyone else wonder if sin existed pre-Satan?

Actually, a sin can only exist in conjunction with a law. Example....you can't break a speed limit and "sin" if there is no speed limit law.

That's why God gave man the law, so they would recognize sin, and in so doing recognize their inability to stop sinning , be perfect on their own. This would in turn lead them to know they needed a savior. Since they couldn't keep the law on their own they had to trust in the savior.
 
Sin didn't exist before Satan, but sin did exist before he tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Sin came into existence when Satan was kicked out of God's presence. So after he was created, along with all of the other angels, but before the Fall of Man.

The devil indeed WAS an angel before he sinned in heaven and God threw him down to hell. He was known as Lucifer in heaven, before he was cast out and became known as Satan. Oh, and the user name you replied to above is Tintin, NOT sintin. :)
 
Ezekiel 28:14"You were the anointed cherub who covers, And I placed you there. You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked in the midst of the stones of fire. 15"You were blameless in your ways From the day you were created Until unrighteousness was found in you.

In speaking of Satan/Lucifer - He was perfect until unrighteousness was found in Him. Some Bible versions say until iniquity was found in you.... Sounding like things were perfect until then as nothing else was recorded about iniquity until this mention in Ezekiel which was speaking of Satan....who had been an anointed cherub in heaven.

Hello!

Since angels are all created beings, there had to be a time when they were created. And regarding this, I have wondered whether they were all created at the same time or in groups. But getting back to your question, prior to the existence of angels, who would have been existing to commit sin?

Who is mightier God or satan? If God is the creator of all things and has infinite knowledge and wisdom of all things, and being the creator of all things, would he have created Satan to attempt to destroy the kingdom of God? And having infinite knowledge continue to do so? By saying that Satan is a fallen angel would be to say that you could be cast out after you have obtained eternal life. For there Is no rebellion in God's house. Would you knowingly invite a burglar into your house just to destroy it? Then what about your heavenly father. Would the just God you claim to know send his only begotten son to suffer for all of mankind so that we could receive eternal life through him just to b cast out and lose it? Having heard this many will turn their head, but to turn your head would be to turn your head from God. It would be the same to say that God is not the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. For what reward was given if the eternal life God promises wasn't eternal? ☺☺☺ just to leave you with some things to think about.
 
Since sin was introduced into the world by Adam, the question should be, 'Did Sin exists before Adam'. Satan is not the author of Human Sin.
 
ummm I had to re-read the question lol. No I don't think so because remember Satan was an angel at one point who fell.

I mean it's an infection right? How did one of Gods greatest creations get infected? Scares the you know what out of me when I start thinking too much about this.

Whats the general consensus regarding the book of Enoch on this website? Should probably create a separate thread for this question, but I'm just curious.

Satan fed his Pride and it grew from there. As for the Book of Enoch, some people here believe it's an inspired book, but many/most believe it's uninspired but an interesting read from a cultural perspective.

I see...Yeah I'm about an hour into a video reading of the book, pretty profound book so far. The first 5 minutes was pretty insightful though.
 
Zachiah..I am not sure what cult or religious background you are from, but lucifer was an annointed cheribem (angel) and still comes across as an 'angel of light" to deceive. IN other words, he has NO soul, no way to physically die..that is why his future living arrangements are made in the Lake of Fire.
