The developmentally disabled person I supported today has a job doing some light janitorial work at a horse veterinarian's office/barn.

He had been promised a staff shirt for many months. They finally made the order and presented him with one today. The shirts are polo style with the name of the company embroidered on it. Also on one collar there is an embroidered stallion, and on the other collar, there is...well...two embroidered swimming sperm cells.

One of the big money makers is shipping stallion semen to various locations for breeding. No big deal, I get that. But that shirt! Oh...

I was on my best behavior and made not one joke, because I'm all mature and stuff...

The bird had been flying around in the entry way, scared, and that's why it flew into my head. I pulled it out of my hair, and set it outside.

...wasn't that anticlimactic, after the autocorrect fiasco? :p
From now on I shall call you bird whisperer..

relationship first, then a conversation?

so... how does a person come to that agreement w/o a conversation?

wat?

hehe jk. i'm think you're referring to the "middle schoolers" relationships? "you're cute. i like you w/o knowing a single thing about you. let's date."

1 week later.

break up.

yes?
I think he means friendship.
I'm thinking more like "Don't try to argue with me about this controversial topic when you don't really even know me".

ChandlerFan, I feel that way about evangelism. It should be highly relational. I think it's often more damaging to go into a place without having loved or gotten to know it's people, and tell them what they need to be doing.
Haha I wasn't talking about any conversation. Obviously you would need to have a conversation with someone before you became friends with them. What I meant was conversations about hot-button topics. Like I find it difficult to reap benefits from debating someone about homosexuality when I don't have an active, ongoing relationship with them. When I don't know where they're coming from as a person. I don't like find it beneficial when it's so impersonal.

Also, Grace, I'm completely with you on relational evangelism. It's the way to go :)

I like the name "acorn"! :) It's cute and it matches the acorn itself in cuteness!!! :)

I can't contain myself. Was the guy's name Ezekiel?

See Ezekiel 23:19-20. Or don't. What's seen cannot be unseen.

Yes, I haven't read the whole of Ezekiel through in a long time, but it's certainly one passage you wouldn't hear about in Sunday School or even at youth group. The Bible is quite uh... evocative with its language at times.

Debating on whether I want to post my video of me playing guitar in here. I have it on YouTube I just haven't posted it here.

It is a bit "rough" but that's because it was 2 in the morning and I didn't practice it all that long. I just practiced it a little bit before I started to record. And there were MANY outtakes of it.

There was a time when Youtube was trying to force people to use their real names. If you want to share your video and remain anonymous (at least by name), you could just start a photobucket account and upload it there and link it here.

YouTube doesn't force you to use your real names. That was Google when they first took over. Though even at that, that was for Google+. But they eventually stopped that. I think people were getting fed up. So I don't have my real name on Google+ or YouTube.

What kind of guitar do you play? Acoustic? Electric? My brother plays the bass. :)

This kid at work sits about 10 feet from my desk during lunch and chews with his mouth open.

*nomnomnom*
*schmackschmackshcmack*

Another spoonful.

*sluuuurp*
*chompchompchomp*
*schmackschmackschmack*

Oh wait, he's going to the kitchen...

*shuffle shuffle shuffle - shuffles back to chair*
*sits...farts*
*sluuuurp*

I want to liquefy his meals and give him a straw.
I have a friend of about 50 who does the same....
and he is childish enough that when I tell him to stop he stops eating and sits listening to me, waiting for me to make the slightest sound
