I'm a music nerd (so don't let this give you the idea you were comprehensible... :p ) but I understood it perfectly. And good thing you can do that. Some people don't have the vocal range to just drop or rise an octave, and transposing to a different key is all they got left.
Actually the option of singing an alto or tenor line in harmony solves the problem without straining the instrumentalists at all, but is often not even entertained, because YOU WANT ME TO SING SOMETHING OTHER THAN THE MELODY WHY I NEVER HOW DARE YOU.

I sing harmony for the most part, but when I lead worship, the poor musicians have to change keys and everything. Cuz I'm a boss like that hehe

I had a nap today, but it wasn't one of those refreshing ones that are the reason I still gamble with having naps sometimes. It was too hot in my room, and I slept too long, and I woke up feeling sad from the dreams I had.

I dreamt that I was in high school again, but like I went back in time while staying the age I am now. And I was in a math class (which would have been bad enough on its own). I was trying to take notes like we were supposed to be doing, but it was dark and I had so many book bags with me....at least four, each of them containing different stuff- one was a jumble of paper, one had my kids' stuff in it, one was full of clean laundry all folded up, another had all this shampoo and soap. I finally found my notebook, and then the lights came on and the guy in the seat in front of me turned around and offered me a pen.

And the guy was iTORE, y'all. A younger version. And I sat there like an idiot, not knowing what to say, and he kinda smiled and held onto the pen and turned around. And I tried to keep up with the notes, but then I realized nobody had paper and pencils, but text books. I knew I didn't have mine, but I dug through the bags anyway, knocking stuff out of them and getting irritated looks from the teacher. I gave up and got up the nerve to talk to...yeah. And I asked if he wanted to hear a crazy story from the future, and I told him the whole thing, and then I just said, "So...I'm sorry about all that, and maybe now it will never happen."

I got up and walked out of the room.
I remember briefly wondering how to get back to my own time before I woke up.

And now I just feel totally groggy and disoriented and it occurred to me that it might be better not to post this, but this is also the only place where anyone might really understand why I feel so weird now. I dunno. Maybe nobody will, and that's ok too. Sometimes I just have to say things to get past them.

I have a really unfortunate break, and I often sing a tenor harmony... or a soprano one. Ha!

been playing with some juicing.

Made a smoothie with spinach, peach, strawberries, almond milk, and some pomegranate juice just in case it wasn't sweet enough.

It was actually quite delicious. Sweet enough, but also tasted salty, somehow. Strange.

And it looked hideous. Like pond scum in a glass.

Went for a jog in the woods today
The mosquitoes are strong.

I don't want to say that I've become one of those people that refuses to camp, or go out in the woods because of bugs...
but is sadly true.
I am that person now, lol.

I would however do a race of some sort like the Spartan race, but only because that you are expected to be in pain.
I don't like accidental pain that is the worst.

You probably feel weird because your old stomping grounds came back to you (with such clarity) after such a long absence. It's a little like starting a new job, a new career. You're all engrossed in the minutia of it all and enjoying your new direction when your old job calls you about some project you worked on. The stress of the hour runs up your spine like it had been there all along, smiling like it had a toe hold on you that would hold fast like a backache. 'I'm baaack' it says.

So your dream travel packed your bags and took you back to the land of the directionless. The foolhardy classroom of the carefree high school (I loved the location). Could be there's no pens and paper because nobody there cares whether they pass or not.

i love this stuff. This is big medicine MissCris - very big medicine. Who else did you expect to find there? And you didn't take his pen, did you. In other words, maybe you didn't need to write a story with his stuff. Instead, you told him about your new.......now.

Not very many people get these glimpses into the nether world and find closure in such definitive ways. That classroom is enticing though, isn't it? Where the bulldogs all have rubber teeth and the hens lay hardboiled eggs?

Put off the grocery shopping that I really need to do for someone and snatch this rare opportunity to drive to the beach and do some photography.... or... do the shopping (at costco nonetheless) and hope there's enough time to make it to the beach before dark (fat chance)...

either way, someone's not going to be happy.. :/

I usually have to sing the harmonies, because I have a weird vocal range, and not too many songs are friendly for that range.

But then there's people who don't know how to harmonize....they can sing the melody just fine, but ooooh no. Not the harmonies. >.<

You know for the longest time, I thought all people who can sing can harmonize. Then one day, one of the other singers at church asked me how I learned to harmonize so she could learn. I said... wat? "I just hear the harmony in my head and sing it." That day I learned not everyone can harmonize. True story. Lol

My mom taught us when she taught us to sing. Rounds are good for learning to harmonize. So many people try to match pitch but harmonizing is hearing the melody and what notes happily chord up.

Yeah. This. This is why church piano players and choir leaders burn out. Not only can some not harmonize but they can't understand why they should.

The humorous thing about all this talk about people hating to harmonize is that I most commonly default to harmony. For some reason it seems that most songs are sung in a key too low (or high) for my vocal range since I'm a solid baritone.

That's an interesting dream. I also had a nap (which I hate doing because I always wake up groggy and feeling terrible for the rest of the day). My dreams usually contain things of the past too but this time my dream was about meeting some girl who was showing me pics of their recent ministry trip to Asia and then I talked to her father and he was showing me stuff from all around the world and I was all intrigued. :p

The mosquitoes are strong.

I started hiking at a local mountain area just couple days ago and didnt know how long was the trail. I finally got to the top, took me about an hour and half, and it was 8pm - it was dark already. I started running down (it was a bit scary to be there all by myself when it was dark) and remembered the sign, "BE AWARE OF RATTLE SNAKES AND MOUNTAIN LIONS." I can probably lose rattle snakes but mountain lions?? Luckily I bumped into a group of people with flashlights and walked down with them. Man, what an experience!
