This thread definitely wins the "most frustrating" award. Also wins the "best comment ever" award for Willie-T's "you could make a song out of this" comment.

Definitely not a great opening question from the OP but I feel like the ladies could have respected the whole "men only" thing a little more, even if they did find the thread ridiculous.

Uh-oh. Sorry for the intrusion, brother sealabeag, but I wonder how come the men don't have a Christian Men Forum like the Christian Ladies Forum? Perhaps you brothers could request it and then women can't see your posts.

I personally prefer a man who is older and more mature. A man who shows me respect, and cares for me. I want to feel cherished and needed. He has to be a strong man also and not afraid to take me sexually. My boyfriend is 55, and I feel more loved by him than any guy my age I dated.
Why don't you just take your trash somewhere else. Don't send me anymore of your pm again. You are sick. I've reported you.

Mitspa, you are lucky. Trust me, from what she wrote in her post and then the pm she sent me, I am ready to just drop out of CC, though it's not anything done by CC.

It's like a women's fellowship where we share and encourage each other with every day ladies issues. It's harmless enough. I'm whispering this post because I don't wanna interrupt your thread. heehee

She joined CC in 2014.

Her profile marriage status is single. She sends me a pm.

I reported her inappropriate post and her pm to me and she's on my ignore list.

Ticks me off.

That's the funny thing. Some guys apparently think it's some big mysterious clique, but honestly, the Women's Forum (to me at least) is a lot like the Family Forum except from a woman's point of view.

Lots of women talking about and asking for advice with their marriages, relationships, families, and raising their kids.

There's also lots of "women's stuff"--helpful everyday tips about products that work and cleaning techniques, cooking, prayer and devotion, etc. No conspiracies or world domination plots... Unless there's ANOTHER forum for that and someone forgot to give me access...

Oh, and there's also a thread about women's sanitary supplies that has been reappearing on and off for years.

I'm sure that's the first thread every guy would want to bum rush if they had access to the Women's Forum!

So really guys, you're not being excluded from anything you wouldn't WANT to be excluded from there.

There's been talk of starting a Men's Forum ever since I've been here (2009), so I hope you get your wish, and am heading over to the Men's Forum Request thread to cast my vote.

Now really... why would you think guys would want to go there? This constant mantra that guys are immoral in some way is a bit offensive to me..and I assume some other men that live moral lives?

I never said men were immoral in any way. How in the world could this be misinterpreted as that?

I was making a joke.

Guys have asked about what we talk about in the Ladies' Forum many times before and some of them are actually very sweet and so sincere about it--they think they're missing out on something, or that they're not going to understand women as well without access to that kind of information, or that they can help--that it kind of makes a gal want to hug some of them and just be like, "Trust me, you probably wouldn't like to hear what we're talking about anyway!"

So I was picturing some poor guy being all excited to learn more about women or access the Women's Forum and then getting there... and immediately turning and running the other way when he realizes what we're really talking about!

Besides, how on earth would talking about that particular subject be immoral? I'm just saying, most guys probably wouldn't feel comfortable with that subject at all. Again.

It. Was. A. Joke. Basically saying, "No worries, guys. You're not missing out on anything, honest."

Oh so you was trying to be funny....ok sorry I misunderstood :) No I doubt the guys are not interested in some of the stuff you all discuss.. but it is a bit odd that there is a place of privacy for one group and not the other... and I have wondered at times if you gals was not all reading from the same play book when you all debate certain issues?

Not at all.

Let's take the example of all the men here talking. If the subject of being a good father and husband comes up, the guy who grew up in a broken home with an absentee father will generally hold a different perspective from the guy who went on weekend fishing trips with his father and saw him as his best friend.

It's the same thing with women. Everyone's background shapes them differently. In our own way, we all have our own very unique set of beliefs shaped by our backgrounds and families, which is one reason why the discussions are so interesting.

Everyone has their own story to tell.

(For the record, I would have never posted in this thread until I saw other women posting. Sorry if I've overstepped boundaries but I'm grateful to have the chance to at least voice my own opinions as well.)

How come I can't see the women's forum? I never get invited to where the cool kids hang out. :/
