You still haven't answered why the Holy Spirit is teaching yall different things. Some you believe OSAS, some of you don't. Yet you all say the Holy Spirit teaches you. I don't get it. Why is the Holy Spirit teaching you conflicting views?
Because whilst the Holy Spirit guides us and teaches us He also leaves us much to research for ourselves. It is by this we grow and keep our faith vibrant. God is not concerned that we be perfectly correct in everything, He is more concerned with our spiritual growth.

For a while I did not believe in eternal security. My life was being spoiled by fear and worry. But then I discovered the truth that Christ was my guaranteed Saviour. My fears disappeared and I was filled with love for Him, and from that day I grew more and more in love and righteousness.

Yes I understand but I have never called you a follower of Satan :)

On the other hand I must be honest and say that I do believe that you allow Satan to mislead you about the Roman Catholic church and its heresies :)

You are a good example of what you were asking about. The Holy Spirit has seemingly led you into the truth about Jesus Christ, but it is NOT He Who has guided you to believe Roman Catholic heresies. It is Satan who does that. Just as for a while he misled Peter twice.

That's my point. Many non Catholics will disagree with your interpretation. Just look at the threads here. And they all strongly believe their interpretation to be the only interpretation and I don't get it. That's why I follow the teaching of the Church

Re: Martin Luther, about Mary

Martin Luther on Mary's Perpetual Virginity:

"Christ, our Savior, was the real and natural fruit of Mary's virginal womb . . . This was without the cooperation of a man, and she remained a virgin after that."

- Martin Luther {Sermons on John, chaps. 1-4 (1539)}

"Christ . . . was the only Son of Mary, and the Virgin Mary bore no children besides Him . . . I am inclined to agree with those who declare that 'brothers' really mean 'cousins' here, for Holy Writ and the Jews always call cousins brothers."
- Martin Luther {Sermons on John, chaps. 1-4 (1539)}

Martin Luther commenting on the false teachings arising in Protestantism in his lifetime concerning the denial of Mary's perpetual virginity, teachings which Protestants erroneously attribute to Luther, which he himself calls lies.
Luther also refers to Mary here as the mother of God.

"A new lie about me is being circulated. I am supposed to have preached and written that Mary, the mother of God, was not a virgin either before or after the birth of Christ. . ."
- Martin Luther {That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew (1523)}

Martin Luther says that scripture does not say or indicate that Mary later lost her virginity, as most Protestants today contend . .

"When Matthew [1:25] says that Joseph did not know Mary carnally until she had brought forth her son, it does not follow that he knew her subsequently; on the contrary, it means that he never did know her . . . This babble . . . is without justification . . . he has neither noticed nor paid any attention to either Scripture or the common idiom."
- Martin Luther {That Jesus Christ was Born a Jew (1523)}

MARY, THE MOTHER OF GOD...

"It is the consolation and the superabundant goodness of GOD, that man is able to exult in such a treasure. Mary is his true Mother."
- Martin Luther (Sermon, Christmas, 1522)

He again declares Mary the Mother of God...

". . . she is rightly called not only the mother of the man, but also the Mother of God. . . . it is certain that Mary is the Mother of the real and true God."
- Martin Luther {Sermon on John 14. 16}

Mary, the Mother of God, and mother of all Christians...

"Mary is the Mother of Jesus and the Mother of all of us even though it was Christ alone who reposed on her knees . . . If he is ours, we ought to be in his situation; there where he is, we ought also to be and all that he has ought to be ours, and his mother is also our mother."
- Martin Luther (Sermon, Christmas, 1529)

Mary is free from the stain of original sin.

"It is a sweet and pious belief that the infusion of Mary's soul was effected without original sin; so that in the very infusion of her soul she was also purified from original sin and adorned with God's gifts, receiving a pure soul infused by God; thus from the first moment she began to live she was free from all sin"
- Martin Luther (Sermon: "On the Day of the Conception of the Mother of God," 1527)

"She is full of grace, proclaimed to be entirely without sin- something exceedingly great. For God's grace fills her with everything good and makes her devoid of all evil."
- Martin Luther (Personal {"Little"} Prayer Book, 1522)

Concerning the veneration of Mary...

"She is the highest woman and the noblest gem in Christianity after Christ . . . She is nobility, wisdom, and holiness personified. We can never honor her enough. Still honor and praise must be given to her in such a way as to injure neither Christ nor the Scriptures."
- Martin Luther (Sermon, Christmas, 1531)

"The veneration of Mary is inscribed in the very depths of the human heart."
- Martin Luther (Sermon, September 1, 1522)

"One should honor Mary as she herself wished and as she expressed it in the Magnificat. She praised God for his deeds. How then can we praise her? The true honor of Mary is the honor of God, the praise of God's grace . . . Mary is nothing for the sake of herself, but for the sake of Christ . . . Mary does not wish that we come to her, but through her to God."
- Martin Luther (Explanation of the Magnificat, 1521)

Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee,
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory to God in the highest!

The whole point is there are differences in what different Churches teach about non essential doctrines , but we all agree and follow the Major doctrines in the Scriptures.

The Doctrine of everybody being a sinner does not change in all the True Churches that follow Jesus Christ. What they may disagree on are doctrines like how and when a person is Baptized. Does it matter if a person is Baptized in a pool or a river or an Ocean? No it does not matter. Many Church do the service diffidently but it does not take away from their worship.

If you have a Church that is teaching Doctrines that are essential but are teaching the opposite of what God says are the Churches we need to avoid. Like a Church that teaches Salvation is received by Baptism and not by Faith and Grace are the Churches that do not have the Holy Spirit in them.

Just because a Church says its a True Church does not mean anything. You need to look carefully are what it teaches and does it follow the Truth in the Scriptures. If not then it is a false Church. This is why i say the Roman Catholic Church is a false Church because it does not follow the Truth in the Scriptures.

You may believe the Roman Catholic Church is the True Church, but that is because you are not listening to the Holy Spirit. You seem to have tuned out the Holy Spirit to listen to deceiving Demons.

Do you have to believe every single Truth in the Scriptures to be a Born Again Christian? Probably not, but you cannot teach the opposite of what God teaches and not expect God to punish you for doing it.

If a person has received Salvation what can remove that Salvation? Can a sin remove a persons Salvation? Remember Peter was a sinner and sinned a lot but he did not lose his Salvation. Three times he denied knowing Jesus but yet he keep his Salvation.

So we need to ask what exactly must we do to lose our Salvation? Can sin by itself remove our Salvation? I believe if a person continues to sin willingly and refuses to stop sinning, then i believe this person can lose their Salvation. You cannot lose your Salvation if you occasionally give in to sin.

There are passages in the Scriptures that seem to teach we can never lose our Salvation, and there are passages that do seem to say we can lose our Salvation.

What must we do to lose our Salvation? Jesus Christ say if you confess your sins to Him He will remove your sins. So i do not think we can lose our Salvation if we slip up and sin. Jesus Christ does say those who practice their sins and refuse to stop can lose their Salvation.

The bottom line is yes you can lose one's Salvation, but its very hard to do and takes a lot of sinning to lose it. You have to make an effort to lose your Salvation.

This is why we teach Once Saved Always Saved.

No facts? There aren’t pictures of the pope bowing before a statue of Mary? Catholic churches aren't filled with graven images? The final authority isn't God to you? No facts? Do these words not show how close your eyes are? All 3 of those are facts, they are all very clear and very provable facts, as a matter of fact.

Mwc68, its what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures that is the Truth. If you are having a hard time understanding what a passage is saying you can always go before God in prayer and ask Him what He is saying in the verses. Most of the time God will show you want He is saying. Sometimes He has you look at other references to see what He is saying.

What I am saying is I DO NOT rely on what any Church says is the Truth. I always compare what the Church says to what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures and I always accept what the Holy Spirit says over what a Church says.

Churches are from men and men can make mistakes. This is why I always look to see what the Scriptures say before accepting what men say.

Do this and you will find the Truth you are looking for. Rely on God, not on men.

Hey, wait a minute. Is a roman Catholic pointing out the state of the protestant house? I,m not sure whats happening in USA but the RC church's reputation is in taters in Australia, Ireland and many other countries. Many parishioners are walking away in droves in disgust, the sexual abuse of a generation of children by so many priests is an indication of the flawed nature of the Roman Catholic church. Which in these later days appears to operate more like a cult!

And the same abuse is rampant among pastors, youth pastors, preachers, deacons, so please! You have no finger to point!

Show us mwc68, which Church or Churches are abusing children the same as the Roman Catholic Church? Show us some evidence of what you say. You cannot just point a finger and say its happening, you actually need to provide proof also.

On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it." ...Luke 11:28
Therefore i am more Blessed than Mary.

Base on the bible catholic is not christian. I am not force catholic to be christian, but base on the bible, Pope violate the will of God when he bow before Mary statue.

Pope violate the will of God when he entrust the world to Mary.

Well the Roman Catholic church is so obviously contrary to Scripture that it rules itself out as an interpreter of the word. Indeed as I have shown you we can trace the development of its false doctrines throughout the centuries. It is one thing about which there is no doubt. Compared with that the differences between other churches are minor.

All christians are heresy. because your bible came from Paul (anti christ) and not from Jesus ans his disciples. you can read and compare Galatia letter and James letter.

if you are enough strong in you faith, you don't want to be disturbed. if the contrary you will be angry

We try to welcome everyone to our site including people who grow up with Catholic tradition because of course we want to lead people to the truth.

-----------------
you want to lead all people to the truth. you are good believer. that's position of all believers troughout all the world. I'am muslim i'm motivated as you all. i'm convinced there is no message which bring all the truth unless Islam.

are you so strong in you faith to let me show you the evidences that Islam is the unique God's message. troughout 22 years ai haven't seen one Christian facing me. they block; or lock or bann. wich means you fear the lights and you work in darkness. The word of God fructify. and only God defend it then why are afread?

I challenge you all Christians. and i engage myself to not give any evidence only from your Bible.
