Its interesting fordman that you do not know the difference between the word "did" as oppose to the word "taught". What Jesus did and what He taught are two different things. Could it be fordman you do know the difference but because of your agenda against God you knowingly teach lies to deceive people into following the Catholic Church instead of God?
*No my friend......... whats interesting is that you and other non-Catholics on this site claim the Bible is the only rule of faith, meaning that it contains all of the material one needs for theology and that this material is sufficiently clear that one does not need apostolic tradition or the Church’s magisterium (teaching authority) to help one understand it. In your view, the whole of Christian truth is found within the Bible’s pages. Anything extraneous to the Bible is simply non-authoritative, unnecessary, or wrong—and may well hinder one in coming to God.
*Whereas we Catholics, on the other hand, recognize that the Bible does not endorse this view and that, in fact, it is repudiated in Scripture. The true "rule of faith"—as expressed in the Bible itself—is Scripture plus apostolic tradition, as manifested in the living teaching authority of the Catholic Church, to which were entrusted the oral teachings of Jesus and the apostles, along with the authority to interpret Scripture correctly.
*
It does not matter what you say or do fordman for most of those on this site clearly see through your lies. Its very clear you and the Catholic Church is teaching a different Gospel. Did you know fordman by doing this God has said you are accursed?
*Really??? You have got to be kidding me!!! Have you not noticed all the differnt threads on this site where non-Catholics are giving their differnt views and interpretations and disagreeing of Scripture? All supposedly under the guidence of the Holy Spirit no-less. How do you explain that?
*Just think about it KA, all of the tens of thousands of Protestant denominations themselves are not united in Biblical doctrines and beliefs even though they have all the 27 NT books like the Catholics do. We Catholics on the other hand are united in doctrine, and dogmas.
*
You fordman are accursed for teaching a different gospel. But you are not alone for the Roman Catholic Church is also accursed by God.
*Afraid not, and you have failed miserably to prove otherwise.
*
"On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and observe it." ...Luke 11:28 Therefore i am more Blessed than Mary.
*Is that right? Well, lets just see about that. Now regarding (Luke 11:27-28). If a verse is taken in isolation (as you and most protestants try to do) then it might look as if Our Lord was somehow "downplaying" the Virgin Mary's significance and role in salvation history. However, scripture must support scripture because it is the word of God, and God is NOT a liar NOR a deceiver.
*In (Luke 11:27-28) it says, "As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you."He replied, "Blessed rather are those who HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND OBEY IT." Pay close attention to the last part of verse 28.
*So how do we reconcile (Luke 11:27-28) with the Catholic teaching about the Blessed Mother? (Luke 1:38) says, "And Mary said: Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her."
*What did the Blessed Mother do in Luke 1:38? She HEARD THE WORD OF GOD AND OBEYED IT.
*And what is the mother of Our Lord called for hearing and obeying the word of God? Scripture says, "And it came to pass, as Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: BLESSED art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.(Luke 1:41-42). Notice how scripture says that Elizabeth was "filled with the Holy Spirit" while she exclaimed that Mary was BLESSED.
*Then in (Luke 1:45) Elizabeth exclaims, "And BLESSED art thou that hast believed, because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord."
*Then a third time scripture clearly sates that Mary is BLESSED. (Luke 1:48).
*So if you now look back on Luke 11:27-28, when Jesus says, ""Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." He is in fact referring to His mother Mary, and the fact that she is blessed (because Mary HEARD THE WORD OF GOD AND OBEYED IT).
*So KenAllan, for you to claim yourself to be "more" blessed than The Blessed Virgin Mary is just ludicrous!
