Frank, did I read your post correctly last night? You are/were a farmer? I moan about getting up at 5.15 week days - farming is hard work!

and don't anyone go telling my husband, who told me to go back to bed at 8 that i never did it.

Yes, I'm a cattle farmer. We raise 1200 head of beef cattle. We also raise, oats, wheat,
soy beans, and cotton. I'm still farming, I have 8 full time employees, 6 part time.
The farm is 24/7. It's a great life.

Cello is my FAVORITE instrument. Problem is, I have never picked one up because they are rather pricey.
I usually play guitar, so the fretlessness would be pretty disorienting: a whole new world of sounds.

Syd I have been nothing but friendly to you and I have to tell you that having an online temper tantrum is not helping your cause. The ladies in this thread are really all nice ladies, but when you come on a little too strong with maybe higher expectations you will be let down.

I hate to see a spat in a perfectly calm Oasis type thread so if you have further issues either contact admin or post personal messages and try to work out the issues.

Wow that is impressive! When do you plan on retiring? What is the retirement age in the US?

The only way I will ever retire is when God calls me home.
God has blessed me to no end, so, why quit now.

I believe, if you were born from 1958 back, you can retire at
62. If you were born after 1958, you have to wait until you're
65. They call it the grandfather clause. That is fixed for the1958
They can never change that again, the other they can change
anytime they want.

Are you hiring? :D LOL! I'd give up business marketing for a life of working in the fields in the hot sun ANY day. :D As a teenager, my siblings & I picked tomatoes & peppers for extra money. I also tilled & worked in the packing plant where we bunched asparagus for market. And I fed the horses, pigs, geese, chickens & ducks every morning on my foster parents' little farm.

Well, today we don't pick anything by hand. It's all done with
equiment, we have to start gathering the oats next week.
The cotton, the first of Oct. The soy beans, the end of Oct.
Then we plow, then plant the winter wheat.
So, lifes good.
