Hebrews settles this... 7:25-27 ---He (Jesus) is able to save them to the uttermost that come to God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for them. (pretty convincing). For such a high priest became us...holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needs not daily, as THOSE high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did once, (ONCE AND FOR ALL, FOR ALL) when He offered up Himself. (Get it? or Still not convinced?) Try 4:14 ---Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ...or 9:11-12 ---But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but BY HIS OWN BLOOD He entered once into the holy place, having obtained ETERNAL REDEMPTION for us. (Okay? Can you NOW say Amen, Thank you, Jesus, or is there something more that must be added, either by you, or a priest or pope or Mary or Joseph or saints or angels?) Father in heaven, please bless the reader with the assurance of salvation, purchased for us once for all forever by Jesus our Lord and Saviour, and grant us all the joy and peace in believing. Amen. ... He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself: he that believes not God has made Him a liar; because he believes not the record that God gave of His Son. And this is the record, that GOD HAS GIVEN TO US ETERNAL LIFE, and this life is in His Son. {Please read that over and over until it is written in your heart as if by God Himself, and weep with joy.
