You don't send CV's when applying for jobs in the US? *shocked face*
Cirriculum vitae, it's what you send with your application to show what you studied, where you worked etc
Are you possibly speaking of a Resume? That other sounds like a prescription for a circulatory dysfunction

actually, this country primarily uses resumes, which tend to be far shorter and designed to accomplish an objective. they are supposed to establish stated objective (such as acquire a specific kind of employment, etc) and are far briefer than CVs. typically, resumes are restricted to a single page with limited information about training and employment which makes it more valuable when there is a need for introduction and establishing intention (or objective).

on the other hand, CVs are designed to provide a fuller picture of relevant training, academic background. the value and purpose of the CV isn't restricted to job hunting. in fact in this country, CVs are quite common (and expected) in certain fields where customers, press or other parties might request this info for a number of reasons:

1) those in medical fields in various stages of training and even after establishing a practice will have a CV on request for patients, insurance companies and for those in the medical community, because the lengthy and specific training and education involved with those professions. for example, when an insurance company determines whether to add a doctor to their 'in-network status" they will request the CV as part of the background practice that is used to help do the vetting process of research and oversight necessary.

2) anyone who is involved in academics, research, and funding/grants rely heavily on CVs to establish and compile necessary credentials to process, notate and determine required information for these applications, articles, and what is considered necessary in the process.

3) those who provide communication and press releases, for example, will greatly rely on CVs to ensure accurate and timely information when it is required. because CVs follow a fairly expected format, they are extremely helpful when there are advanced degrees, fellowships, and specific accomplishments that are especially relevant to use in press releases, reports and compilations when accuracy is quite important. also, when i used to do technical writing, i used CVs to ensure that those resources quoted were accurately and completely identified by their credentials, as well as relevant fellowships, internships, and published research.

Correct on all 3 above.

I also would have accepted any of these as an answer.

-Hollywood
-A comic book convention
-The DMV
-The IRS
-At NBC
Or
-Home Depot

Next time l will make it multiple choice.
I will then decide who is right, based on my opinions and likes. ( normal BDF stuff)
Oh....you forgot Wal-Mart.....Really? The biggest mixed nut store of all times.....lol

Dear precious heavenly Father,

I thank you for your promises. Im so very thankful for your word that reminds us that we can cast all our cares upon you, for you careth for us.
Dear Father, I lift Franks grandchildren up to you. I ask you calm their spirits, relieve them of worry, and control their thoughts of fear of the unknown with Frank's hospital stay. Remind them Father that fear is not of you, but of power and of love, and a sound mind. I pray comfort for them as well as Frank. I pray ypu protect He, body, soul and mind. You know how hard it is for those who are supposed to be the strongest. I pray peace for Frank as he not only battles his health issues, but concern for his grandchildren. I pray you give him wisdom with the exact words those children need to hear from him. I pray Lord your power to shine to this family through this time.

In your name I pray,

Rose (Traci)

What key? We should all go to this new attraction in maine....a group gets locked in a room and has to solve the puzzles to get out within an hour
What happens if you don't solve the puzzles? Does the room shrink and squish us or does it blow up?

I received the call hospital. I am to be there at 9:10 am
on Monday. I asked a lot of questions.

1. What are the rules to having ipad/laptop ?
A. Depends on where you are placed, I will
not be able to have one for 3-5 days.

2. My wife and church are flower people.
No flowers, no cards, no cell phone.

3.family only, and pastor visits only.

4. If I'm there for more than 3 weeks, they move
me to housing. Housing is a private 1 room apt.
In it, I can have all of the above

So, that is what I know as of now.
