My parents and my siblings and I are all between 5'7" - 6' tall. I'm 5'9". My three kids are all tall, the tallest is 6'. If I wear heels, I feel like I tower over most people. So I choose not to.

There's nothing more embarrassing than havent to ask someone to reach something on a high shelf at the store

Why be embarrassed? I know that I have trouble getting things on the top shelf, but I use my wit and either grab something with a handle to help knock it down or step on the bottom shelf, it makes for an entertaining shopping experience;)

I remember the wrist chains, my sister and I had to wear those whenever we went out because we always would wander off until we were about seven. I despised those so very much, but now looking back they were pretty handy

Ive used that stepping on the bottom step tactic until my kids stated climbing the shelves..,i had to nix that. Excuse me sir can you please..........works pretty well and i use......Thank you Lord for tall people.......to break tension and put the acknolwagement of God in there. Witness with a twist ;)

That would not be setting a very good example to them:( But, yes I understand where you are coming from. I never do it when there are kids in the aisle.
