It depends what you mean by 'bad'. If you mean that you personally don't like that that's up to you but it doesn't make it sinful.

By the same token, neither do your friends' bad experiences with smoking have anything to do with it.
 
I don't think it is just me persoanlly, I see that you to are a very stubborn person, and I value that. But my views wont be changed so easily. Not that I believe you are trying to change my views, nor am I. I just don't think it is an uncommon thing to hate smoking and be a smoker.

No, that's fine. I'm just saying that peoples' personal opinions, likes/dislikes etc. never have, and never will define sin.

I do understand what you are saying I would like to agree to an extent. if my opinion relates to what Jesus taught, than it might still be considered sin.

I will go as far as saying I believe in the primacy of conscience, in that if one is personally convinced that a certain activity is sinful then it would be sinful for one to do it, even if the activity itself is not objectively sinful.

It is indeed!
Conscience can be mis leading though, you can twist you conscience around quite a bit. but I still do like that theory.
 
everybody knows you shoudn't have sex before marriage...but let's face it.IT'S hard!for many..yea..i know..if you love Jesus enough you will respect these standards.personally,i decided to stay pure until i get married.but,you may have taken this decision yourselves but in your mind....you are not that pure..i know a person.my best friend,she was so enthusiastic about staying virgin for the man she was gonna marry with..next day i found out she was pregnant,before marriage.as the matter of fact she was only sixteen.don't play with such things...maybe you're not that ready as you think..it's a hard temptation that not many could resist.everybody knows the theory,but that's not enough.you need to have a good relationship with God,and a good relationship with the person you want to spend your life with.there has to be love,which implies respect.

Sex before marriage is very wrong for one simple but vital reason

SEX IS A GIFT FROM GOD! Its like Sex is God's wedding present to you cant have it until he has given you that little gift.....

I don't anyone to judge me but I don't care lol Just kidding. Anyways. I am a Christian young woman. I deal with lust everyday. its very hard considering media glorifies it the latest movies and books. but I can say that god helps me a lot. I am a born again Christian and I am a born again Virgin-I have had sex, but god has forgiven me. oh and the marriage chapter is in 1 corinthians 6! :)
 
I've just always grown up knowing sex before marriage is wrong. Honestly I've never even had a second thought about it. Of course no one is perfect, including myself, but waiting is the best thing you can give your future spouse. Only having sex with one person your whole entire life gives you a special connection with the other person. Purity is a beautiful thing, and for me I find it attractive in a guy. I can honestly say i have never been kissed. Not for the fact of I haven't been offered or I haven't been in a given situation. But only to the affect of I know when you do kiss someone you give a little piece of your heart away to that person, whether it be the person God has for you or not. A great goal of mine is to hold on to that. (save my first kiss) yeah it might be crazy or over the top with purity but it's something I feel would be the best gift to my future husband. :)

Amen! Love009, I think what you're doing is awesome. Even if it doesn't say about "kissing" as such in the Bible, I think that by maybe kissing a boyfriend/girlfriend it could increase any sexual temptation you may already be stuggling with.

Sex is definitely one of God's gifts and if we want to get the most out of it we need to save it for when God intended it to be used, in marriage.
