One thing I have found sis is that however deep we are in it, however much we think we are beyond God's reach, there is always someone in the same boat or their boat is sinking faster. I empathise with you because no one knows (unless we tell 'em) our situation. They only see happy smiley words but they do not know what goes on in our lives. My life is crazily messed-up, I don't see a way out of it right now. The only way out that I see goes against God's wishes - in a biblical sense. Maybe - probably, I have already gone too far. I sometimes wonder if I am saved at all and that is the truth! You sounded like you were going through similar. We call upon our brothers and sisters when we need them, it is what we are here for.

I thought it was indeed just a highschool thing?

I went into the workforce and it seemed to have come back around again?
I said..... why fight it, if everyone is doing it, l want to too.


Everyone knows that if the masses like it, .....it MUST be right?
Plus, no one likes a quitter anyway. :p

Hi folks its been a busy week so much to do, especially at the weekend.
I have spent much of it gardening, mowing the lawn, weeding, digging, etc.

Am hoping to get some plants and am thinking of getting a bush like thing to put at the
rear of the garden, something which looks pretty with flowers but takes care of itself
without too much effort from me! Something that flowers most of the summer.

Its a sunny position where I want to put it. Any thoughts anyone?

I did think of a lavatera - does anyone know if they are hardy and come back
each year?

The aromas in my house smell so good right now. It smells of two delicious pumpkin pies baking in the oven. Yum!

Never had pumpkin pie, is it savoury or sweet?

The only time pumpkins are seen in the UK is Halloween, when people hollow
them out to make lanterns. Never done that myself as I don't
celebrate halloween. But I have often wondered what they taste like
and how to prepare them!

my house smells like some kids are sanding and refinishing furniture in the garage.

poor Mark....his immaculate garage! :rolleyes:

it's sweet, Miri...like custard but with pumpkin and cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves...yum.:)

i make pumpkin bread, too. (it's a quick bread! win!! lol)

wow you will have to post a recipe, then when all the pumpkins come out in the
shops at halloween I will know what to do with them. We never see them
at other times of the year in the UK.

we don't either, but there must be something in the Bill of Rights
regarding pumpkin puree being sold in cans? (always have that)

the canned stuff isn't as good....but large pumpkins aren't as good as the tiny baking ones, imo.

ah, who am i kidding? i lurve the stuff! :D

Too bad our "worship days" conflict. We are having a Workshop Speaker coming in on the 19th (I believe it is) that I think you would really like to see.
