I can believe that. Isn't it true that the RCC is currently negotiating with Lutherans, Anglicans & the orthodox church to bring them back under their banner?

Is it also true that the RCC is the main denomination pushing & selling universalism to the Protestant church?

The Jesuits, i.e. The Society of Jesus, are an order of Catholic Priests, founded by Ignatius of Loyola. That's no great mystery.

No..... But what they're doing IS. Since the RCC lost their power over kings they've been working secretly with such groups while pretending to clean up their act with the killing & abusing of saints. They've never changed..... except now they do it behind closed doors.

I'm not as familiar with these assertions as I am with the farcical idea the Catholic Church started Islam.

Universalism insofar as it exists in the RCC is probably an import from Romantic-Transcendentalists who were generally found in Protestant circles.

These "negotiations" have been in play since the Counter-Reformation and schism respectively. Liturgical denominations are certainly more ripe for the picking today given that most have turned their backs on God and therefore lost their true identities. But then many of these more liturgical denominations have members that hate the RCC as well, but that mostly stems from their Marxism which Pope Francis seems rather keen to cater to.

I think I would part ways with you on that score in that I do not think this is some sort of organized, smoke-filled room sort of conspiracy. The RCC is acting like the RCC is expected to act- Roman.

The root of the fabrication traces back to a con-artist who claimed to be a Jesuit named Alberto Rivera. Though it was before your time, you may have seem some of the little tracts featuring him that Chick Publications produced.

The last time I went through the process of completely refuting Alberto Rivera's false assertions and exposing him for what he was must have been about two years ago due to a long-banned conspiracy theorist spamming the board with a lot of such nonsense.

Now the late Dave Hunt is an altogether different matter. Dave was a Protestant fundamentalist apologist associated with the Plymouth Brethren movement. Though I don't agree with all of his research, theology, eschatology, and anti-Catholic polemic; Dave was a genuine Christian and legitimate apologist.

He was. Compare his anti-Catholic polemic eschatology with Walid Shoebat's anti-Islam polemic eschatology. It's interesting to look at the different end-times models side by side. Completely different conclusions but they use the same epistemology to reach them.

Universalism of Christians (meaning all Christians are saved)...not the universalist heresy (meaning all are saved), which is still considered an apostasy (clearly defined by the Councils of Nicea, 3rd Lateran, Trent, Vatican I, and Vatican II).

I see..... I suppose the Inquisition & the 7 Crusades were all conspiracy theories as well? After they lost the backing of the kings did they just repent & changed their ways? Perhaps the findings of the pope siding with Mussolini & Hitler during WWII & receiving tons of money from them was also fabricated? I'll bet we'll find out the massive cover up of priests sexually abusing boys & girls is a fabricated conspiracy, too..... Since you know the truth, I'll leave it to you to tell those kids it never happened.:rolleyes:

Yes you are right here ThomistColin as the term universalism for the church does mean all Chrisitans are saved, no matter what denomination they are apart of. As long as they hold to the faith of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, His death, burial, resurrection, and follow/obey His teachings.

However one can not forget how the Catholic church for the longest time did not teach universalism in this way, as they for a long time taught only those that are members of the Catholic denomination are saved.

Correct. It is my interpretation, and many other Catholics, that the teachings of the Council of Trent are still true, but have been, even since the Council itself, badly misinterpreted, even by they who gave the proclamations. If you actually read what the Council of Trent denounces, most Christians, with the exception of a few Pelagian and fatalist heretics, do not fall under the condemnation.
