I'm just waiting to put in my own cake request with all of our amazing bakers here...

Don't put that frosting away just yet, Kodiak! :D

Getting the screened porch started. Put up the ledger board. Leigh helped. We were both on ladders.:)

It was a very productive day. The Lord was with us.

yay! Jesus! :)

my hubby spent the day cleaning the garage.
he isn't sore, and he's closing in on 66.

i love him anyway, though. :)

child, you need to be placed in a padded room for your own safety!

(and who knows how many other lives might be saved :p)

You just reminded me of a story where someone should have gotten injured, but no one did.... I only seem to get injured when no one is supposed to be able to get injured....lol
When I was at the Christian school, we had cleaning days. So I went with my father and a couple of his crazy friends who were also fathers of students there.....we saw a ceiling tile needed to be changed...above the stairway.....so one of the three guys had the idea of me holding the ladder, because there was nothing for it to lean against, while my father climbed up it to change the tile.....this all happened on the stairs.....

I am glad to hear that it was a very productive day and isn't the Lord with us everyday? I know that when I help my dad on the house and I end up on a ladder my dad is so worried that I will fall so he only has me on the ladder if it is completely necessary.

That gives me hope.

I guess I'm in pretty good shape. My mother-in-law says I look good...

Maintenance one-oh...uh-oh.

Yeah, muscle aches. You know something about that, hugh?

And shoulder aches, joint aches, feet hurt, both eyes had cataracts surgery, the floor gets nothing but harder to reach, once on my knees I have to crawl to the nearest piece of furniture or door handle to pull myself up, etc., etc. A whole bunch things that you young can look forward too.

No he doesn't look old, and he doesn't act old either. Please forgive me Willie.

*smiles at Cmarieh's train of thought, because I've been there*

When I was in high school, I thought my 25-year-old teachers were old.

When I turned 25, I figured 35 was old.

At 35, I figured 50 was ancient.

At 41... 50 isn't looking so bad.

Isn't it funny how we keep pushing back how old "old" is... as we get older???!! :p

(I have a grandparent who is well on their way to becoming a centurion... and I don't see them as being old yet, either.)

Please be in urgent prayer as I just checked my email and got an Amber Alert that a mother who does not have legal/physical custody of her daughter took her and the State Police are trying to locate this 19 year old mother and her 3.5 year old daughter.
