Well, we have a one day respite on rain. Tomorrow is supposed to be okay, and then here it comes again. 10 days into the month and weathergal sez it is the 6th wettest month on record for Oklahoma.
Hopefully it will just be a few showers for the forecast.
Oh yeah, a one day respite after the rain that will be here in 10 minutes.:(

Drove by the river a bit ago. You cannot tell where it is. It is that far out. All you can see are acres and acres of water. One huge lake in Shawnee. I lie not - if there weren't bridges you'd have no clue where the river is.

i got a well wishing text from my old friend Colonel Paul.

the kids said, Mom! your boyfriend texted you!

i had to remind them i asked for a "Boyfriend for Christmas"...Mark said no.

Like my grandma used to tell me if I had a boy who was a friend he was my boyfriend. My grandma was full of so many quirks and I love her for them.:)

A Car? I would be ecstatic if I got a car.

Your grandma sounds precious cmarieh! When I was five...mine sang 'Four and Twenty Blackbirds" to me...and at the end the maid got pecked on the nose. Lol...and I said "Granny why did the maid get pecked and not the Queen?". Lol...granny said "Because the Queen wasn't in the garden,...but likely a good peck on her nose wouldn't of hurt, because the maids always got it in those days!". Lol...my granny was Soooo funny!

But she was in the Garden eating bread and honey...lol...granny got it backwards bless her heart...the King was in the counting house lol

I kind of miss the type of person she was. She isn't the same person I knew because of the Alzheimer's, but what keeps me going is those wonderful memories and she is a wonderful woman who would give the shirt of her back to help someone else. I desire to be just like her in that sense.

tbh, i was pretty stoked when i got over the shock!

What kind of car?

Sigh...my granny as she aged she sang lots of songs wrong yet I loved her! I didn't find out til later that Jack jumped over a candlestick! I thought Jack pulled a plumb from a pie! Lol...awww poor granny. She was my angel...but her nursery rhymes were all twisted around! God love her! Lol

a car is a nice gift, but i love a good mystery!
I love mysteries... Hallmark mystery channel has a lot of mystery shows and movies. A lot of the movies even have some Christian themes hidden in them.... My sister gave me a car for my 16th birthday..it was her old one I still drive it
