John points us to Jesus being God's Christ. And their is NOT ONE mention of WHO IT IS THAT LOVES HER. It could just as well be a song written to a BOY FRIEND and not to our Lord and Savior.

absolutely true. i've always wanted to be more like John, knowing how beloved he was.

I agree, John and the 3 epistles he wrote are my favorite scriptures,but Peter was the one that got out of the boat and he was the one who said Jesus is the Christ the Son of God.
