I still buy the regular coffee grounds... I MAKE it strong sometimes... we have the little filter...thing-a-ma-bober... and we make coffee like as if using a "MR.COFFEE" machine lol
 
Ellie! My paw paw is 85..and a diabetic...and I found two dozen glaze donuts in his secret pantry the other day! I'm gonna whoop eem! He's an ol' Kentucky gent Ellie! You know how they are! They believe nothing is bad for um! Lol

my dad didn't drink coffee either.....the little weirdo. ♥

he drank tea, and just to be sure it didn't get too strong,
he waved the teabag over the mug of hot water. :rolleyes:
 
I love talking to paw paw though! He was born around the times of Lillian Gish, Jean Harlow and Clark Gable...sighs...lol

I buy the dark roast Maxwell house and then regind it into the turkish grind. It is just like powder and finer even than espresso.

I think anyone 85 years old should just eat what ever they want to. They have earned the right. You have to be tough to get old.

My dad's "coffee" was Dr. Pepper... all day... everyday. nothing else but that. >_<

It hurts... the pain of losing loved ones... It just hurts, and it hurts more when I am so tired I have to drink more coffee just to be able to function.. But I gotta get through today, It's monday and I know my dad wouldn't want me to cry all the time, he would want me to be happy, and I am... but I would love nothing more than to have just ONE more day with him... and My uncle..
