Your history with her is your testimony. Her faith in you in the past proves you are trustworthy. She allowed you to pet sit and do work for her. She's upset right now and over-reacting and allowing herself to accuse anyone she knows. I would pray and we will pray & agree with you that the Lord would reveal the truth swiftly and this would all work out for good. In Jesus' name. \:)/

it's such a beautiful day in texas!!! i try to take pics of my dad's flowers he has in the back yard, but the wind wouldn't let me. but ohh man it's such a perty day :D
 
Had to take a few minutes to check on everyone.

Things have been a little hectic down here.

Mama fell and bruised herself Friday night, but she's doing great otherwise.

We've been blessed with about two weeks of liquid sunshine and the yard and garden are soggy. During the last 24 hours we've had two pretty rough storms and in addition to being soaked, the roads are full of tree limbs. The power was out most of the morning, but God made sure that the church had power so our men's Prayer breakfast and the morning services were uninterrupted (not that power matters anyway), but a few of our wayward members showed up for a blessing. It also looks like God is going to bless us with some real sunshine for a few days. I was looking out the window a saw a little sunshine peaking through.

Nope, I shall not blame the browser for my shenanigans. I'm just a nitwitted sheep in the flesh and have to keep learning slowly but surely not to run ahead of Jesus my Shepherd. Here's how it usually goes:

He needs a reason to STOP and be afraid to continue in that behavior.

I was on the board of directors for an advocates against abuse organization representing women (and a few men, too) who were under great pressure by their church to "just trust God and forgive your spouse." I would suggest to those abused by their church to tell them this, "If you feel so sorry for my spouse and feel love will change them, LET HIM (OR HER) LIVE WITH YOU AND YOU TAKE THE ABUSE!" I can assure you, they won't do it.

The simple fact is, if the abusive spouse took their anger out like that on a neighbor, their boss, a co-worker, or even a policeman, they would get arrested. Why? Because it's against the law. It's HARASSMENT. Why would we tell a wife or husband to keep allowing a crime to occur in their home? That's just nonsense. And it's putting the victim in jeopardy.

Our beloved sister needs us to love and support her in her precious new walk in the Lord. She should be encouraged to get counseling and make a wise plan to get the point across that this fighting has to stop. Her safety, her peace of mind, and her physical needs should be considered.

There are many organizations which offer help in steering her in the right direction to restore order and safety in her life. We should stand behind whatever decision she makes. and we should PRAY AND TRUST GOD FOR HER SITUATION. The Lord is with her always and whatever decision she makes, JESUS is in it with her. The Lord is able to save her husband but her husband needs the rug pulled out to look to God. That rug is abuse. It needs to stop now.

Heather has the right to "Shake yourself from the dust; arise (from captivity), and sit down (at Jesus' feet), O Jerusalem: loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion." GOD SAYS SO!

Hi Violet :) I think you've read something into my post that I haven't nor would even consider to suggest. I won't speculate as to which came first ... the husbands verbal outbursts or Heather's admitted errors of the past. And neither will I venture to guess which action was deemed "just cause" (at that time) by one or the other for any subsequent reactions resulting from either offense. Clearly, Heather is the one who has courageously stepped forth receiving both God's love and forgiveness. I simply shed light on something that "may or may not have been touched on to date" ... that being the insecurities and fragile ego's of the male species under these particular circumstances. Nothing more than this ... nothing less than this either. It would be a mistake to minimize or not consider the effects of such. And for Heather's peace of mind sake (and having no regrets later), it was mentioned for consideration only. That being said, I believe that if Heather deems herself in danger or even finds his cruel words no longer bearable, it is time to leave. And she would assuredly have both my blessing and my prayers if this is the path that she feels compelled to take :)

I wasn't real close with him... but at the same time... this is 8 month anniversary of when my dad passed away.... so today and tomorrow are hard on me enough as it is... and now to top it off my uncle passed. Dang... :(
