Well we just got home about a half an hour ago and had a fantastic day with some of the church crew, and of course my BFF, Debbie. Debbie and I drove to the country about 1pm after we had some yummy breakfast at lunch at a local restaurant. We kicked around, went shopping at a store (not to many stores or anything down that way!) and went to visit a couple who my husband has known for years (hubby could not go cause he had to work nightshift tonight) and had a nice visit with them. The church crew all took a bus down to the place from the church at 5pm, and it takes about an hour to get there so we met them there for around 6pm for dinner. It was DELISH!! You should have saw the deer!! They were EVERYWHERE boy oh boy ... don't think that I have saw so many in my life at one time!! Was a very nice day and the weather was a little mix of snow and rain, but all in all it cooperated! Praise Jesus for an awesome day!! :)
 
well, you know, i do well to check because the list of pagan things grows longer all the time.

beginning with Christmas and Easter, of course.

Heyah! Good stuff. I'm all for equal opportunity when it comes to pagan divinities (haha!) so I'll correct that from god to goddess. Oops. Heqet was a fertility goddess, most often depicted as a frog. Either way, she was rubbish.

You bet if he does that it's going to be slathered in lard, then rolled into bacon then deep fried in lard then rolled into butter again for bon appetit...! ;)

Haha! Oh, man. I'm loving this thread.
I remembered that the ancient Egyptians worshipped a frog, but I couldn't remember its sex. Then I remembered it was responsible for fertility, so it would have been a goddess. Who's ever heard of a fertility god?! That's just Biology 101. :P
