'k so i skimmed a bunch of pages and what i got is
p_r is waging war against a micro-brewery Jerry sponsors
and the weapons are catapults filled with cookies.

after the war, everyone is going to a sleep-over and bringing the oldest toys they can find.
and some of us are wearing our prettiest dresses and bows.

did i get it all?

Almost all. Add all the love here and make it the most important thread on the BDF.

now that I think of it, the oldest toy could actually be a pocket knife...when my dad was a kid, he played a game called stretch...the goal was to throw a knife so the other person had to stretch their legs apart and fall first, apparently you put your foot where the knife stuck in the ground...I think he was crazy...playing with knives.
How often did you visit the stainless steel room? lol

playing with knives??? wow....like lawn darts, probably illegal now.

oh, and the room in which i was placed was rubber. :p

Well let's see, about a month I had taken the car in for it's 51,000 mile check, unfortunately the check light and cruise light had been going on and off. When they tested it they found out I was having a problem with the cataylic converter,so they did some work on it to see if it fix or if not I would have to replace it (To the tune of over $1,300) Ouch.

Needless to say it didn't work and because it doesn't affect the driving the car,I had to let go because there is no way at the moment to come with that kind of money. This morning as I was taking my mom shopping, this was a loud squeeking in the rear wheel well. Not good if it's a major problem.

They just called me back and the guy said the problem from this was fixed, but could I leave the car till Monday to fix the converter. And I told him right now I just don't have the money to fix it,and he said no it won't cost you anything because it's still under warranty. I was surprised because it's a 2008 Subaru Outback. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lord. What a relief.
:D

How about all the homemade toys. Like a clothespin gun an a pocket of corn, or a blowgun and okra seed.

are there helmets made from cookies?

because that would be great!

Just ask. :)

th

You do realize that it's not edible?

i don't know what you're trying to say with this lol

on another note: i've mentally clocked out from the office. just talked to someone on the phone who annoyed me. (she said she was tired, so i understand her frustration). then others who call friday afternoon expecting us to have openings. and when i say no, i highly dislike when they say, "oh i guess i'll just have to suffer." uhh ok. that doesn't magically make an opening in the schedule lol sigh.

unfortunately, in the PC culture of the day, those are weapons.

and frankly, the way some folks raise their kids and the way those kids behave,
it might be best very few kids have 'em. (right) :(

my husband had empty frig and stove boxes delivered (free!).
kids played with them for 5 months. :)

cookie helmets are welcome to degrade in my stomach. :)

Funny.
I don't like cookies.

Or cake.

.....and while I'm listing things off that I don't like, I'm not too happy with the service at Target these days.
Do they think just because they are wearing those nifty red shirts, it gives them the right to be rude to me?

did you lose your wand?
the one that magically opens up the schedule?

sorry, melita. :(
i did a bunch of different office stuff for my doc and one was reception.
he's a Christian, and most of the patients were, too, though--so mostly nice.
plus, it was the '90s.

most frustrating thing about it was Bill telling patients to come back 'tomorrow' for a re-check when there was nuttin' open for a week.

this! boss says a specific day w/o even looking at the calendar. sigh. i feel bad when i tell someone we're booked, and then people miss their appt, which means we could have seen the person who called. i know it's not my fault, but i still feel bad.

Just as long as those pies weren't bought at Target....I'm good with pie. :)

Ellie...or anyone.....need help?---Why does my post above read weird?

I gotta stop sounding like Yoda when I type from a phone :(

BTW,...... why are we friends Melita? Jk.
