I let my sister drag me to a skating rink, thats full of noisy children and loud pop music. I hate loud noise and being
in crowds of people for a long time. I could strangle her right now, because it is awful for me here.

okay so I'm looking to use another browser other than Opera. I have FF, but I use it ONLY for getting images and doing my photo editor. Keep in mind that I hate Google Chrome and despise IE.. Outside of these browsers, what do you guys recommend? :)

Is there some reason you don't use FF for more things?

Is this some kind of weird browser-bigotry deal?

Is this maybe a repentance issue???

Firefox is an open source project, developed by bazillions of altruistic people all working together for the common good, so that all of humanity can find inner peace and harmony through a common browsing experience...

maybe this really is a repentance issue.

Just found out about a Christian singles dance Saturday night, on a weekend which I don't have my kids.

Debating about going...these things could either be fun or awkward - - usually they are a little of both.

I think I would prefer going to the studio to work on a stained glass project, or to stay home and watch TV with my cats, who silently judge my viewing choices. But then again, maybe I'll go...

I was relaxing the other day,
when somebody mentioned a Christian Singles Dance...
and something just came over me.

Does anyone have some PTO you can transfer to me? Or can you at least connect me directly to someone at Microsoft support that is competent and able?
PTO - Paid Time Off? My father is a Red Cross blood drive coordinator and when he says PTO that's what he means.

And the most competent people at MS are the ones who are using Linux computers to write the code for the next MS system. ^.^

I always chuckle how depending on a person's background the meaning of an acronym can be very different. I have no idea what Siberian's intended meaning was, but when I saw PTO the first thing that crossed my mind was Power Take Off which is a device that connects into the transmission or transfer case (or less commonly the front of the crankshaft) of a vehicle to transfer power to accessories such as winches or farm implements.

firefox was good back in the day, sadly it suffers from major bloat.

Aye.

What bloat? I'm using a fork of FF and I haven't seen any bloat.
FireFox was a great browser, and I use it on my tablet. But I had to end up using Opera on my laptop because Firefox glitched extremely bad for me. As I would scroll through certain websites, parts of the website would just black out. Sometimes 2/3 of the site would black out on me. So I uninstalled it, and installed opera. Haven't had a single problem with it since.

Instead of sitting home and being silently judged by your cats, I vote that you get out to that dance and be silently (or not-so-silently) judged by hordes of other single people instead!

Gotta switch things up every now and then...

I'm saying this because I went to some singles mixer-thingie at some church a long time ago... And I guess some girl had been watching me the whole time, because towards the end of the evening she said something really snarky to me like, "You're never going to meet someone if you just keep staring at the floor!"

I'm not sure what I'd done wrong. I'd participated in all the events and dutifully answered all the "What kinds of toppings do you like on your pizza"-type questions (did I mention this was a 20's-early 30's age range).

I decided I'd stick with my "typical" Saturday nights--watching a good science fiction (thanks to the user who told me never to use the term "sci-fi!") movie and debating over the morality of dating robots... or clones... Er... not that I'm contemplating this because as you can see, my chances of getting a date with EITHER one are pretty low. (I don't even have the skills to program a robot to be interested in dating me.)

In other words... Cat, I hope you decide to go! :D (Here's to wishing you a good time and better luck than I had!)

At first I thought, "Are we having a dance party in the singles chat room? Well ain't that gonna be awkward."

Then the following thought occurred. It would look like this:
egeiro: *Krumps*
Catherder: *Shuffles*
gypsygirl: *Salsas*
zeroturbulence: *Break dances*

Then it went all over the place so I cancelled that thought.

I think I need more sleep.
