Ya know...something that just dawned on me. In the glove box there is a reset button. On some makes and models it can be a pesky bugger to find. You might want to reference your owners manual for the location of the reset button on your particular make and model.

Don't tell me this said reset button makes it like a new car again right?

Naw, just tear into the dashboard if you don't find it right away. Sometimes they hide it too good. Who needs an "owner's manual" anyway?

Tourist I think we need a new car.....this one guy on CC said to tear into the dashboard and I did looking for that button thingy and anyway we need a new car now.......

Thanks for the license to speak my Blond mind.....I have already fulfilled the obligations of the bottom sentence and I would like to thank Oldhermit again for opening this thread where we are free to speak our minds.....fun thread.

PS Thanks for making it pink as it goes so well with my Blond hair and other accessories.......
Well, it was the least I could do, after you beat me up with that ball bat earlier ...

They gave us a whole box of them when we bought the car. There are still some left.

We also try to replace the dipstick every couple of years.

If you glue a bunch of popsicle sticks together works well on a budget for you new dipstick....

Yay....got CC app on phone! Lol...now I can take CC when I hike in the forests. HeeHee...may even let Rocky Racoon...and Frisky the Froggy post a new thread! Haha wait...are frogs frisky? Better call him Freddie....or Freeloader if he jumps in my purse lol...love u all!

well today has been something else. i only work 4 hrs on thursdays, so when it was time to go home, my car wouldn't start. and i know NOTHING about cars. my boss tried to jump start it. the car turned on, but the moment he removed the cables, the car turned off again. so he brought me home.

my dad explained to my brother what needed to be done, so he and i went back to my office, and now my car is sitting in my drive way  i'm tired! lol
Alternator gave up the ghost. You've probably been running on the battery a day or two and it ran out of 'lectricity while you were working. You didn't say what year and make it is, but most cars will have something that puts a constant, albeit small, current draw on the battery. KAM (keep alive memory) on the vehicle computer, radio, clock, etc.

Fix the alternator and charge the battery and you should be good to go. :)

No, this one is real. It is almost always in the front passenger area somewhere.... it's a fuel shut off that is supposed to work if the car is impacted.

Does that mean the car needs an enema? I used to work in a hospital......

And be careful to hook the battery up correctly. If you hook it up backwards (positive to negative) the horn will suck and the headlights will cast a shadow.

Huh....didn't know they made such a thing for. How much longer does it keep the air in your tires fresh as opposed to not using it?

I'll bet the sale of it is regulated like cold medicine seeins how it can be abused as an inhalant.

It's not regulated but you do have to be a licensed driver. It's best to not try to purchase if your eyes are bloodshot as you will have to sign an injury waiver. It last about a month before the tires go flat filling the air a nice flowery scent.
