I'm not sure if there's any science behind this but some people really do seem to have heightened senses, including smell. I can think of at least two ladies I've worked with who could recognize nearly any scent a person was wearing, as well as its keynotes (lavender, orchid, lily, etc.) It was pretty amazing. They were extremely sensitive to every smell around them and could also pick out flavors in the air or in foods (ginger, nutmeg, herbs, etc.)

I've also heard that a few people make a very good living off this talent by becoming perfume designers...

Rachel. You're a brilliant light. I won't marvel at what ever tries to cover the light in you. Because the beauty and the complex wonders that God knit in to your inner being is unique and worth celebrating. It is you, with Him making His home in you, breathing life in to your unique traits that reflect His own awesomeness. You are worth placing on a lampstand and embraced to shine. We love you. You a ridiculously loved. Fiercely loved.


The Lord is singing and dancing over you, and usually where there is music and celebration, a response is demanded. I played my violin today, and instantly my Kindergarten children started dancing to it. So with this in mind, do as children do, in the face of disappointment, in the face of ache and hardship, dance on it. He's playing a wedding song to His bride, so let's dance on it!

Aside from that, hope you'll feel better soon.
 
1 AM, can't sleep as usual... Have to go to work in a few hours and will be running on fumes and a lot of caffeine.

The good news is that I'm cooking (turkey) bacon.

Just because it sounded good.

I know y'all are jealous. ;)

(P.S. Zero, I just noticed your post count. Holy cow... I have some catching up to do! :))
