Do you snore? Do you wake up feeling exhausted? Do you have allergy problems?
I don't know if snore any more, but I've been told I did in the past (eg. on camps etc, by friends and family). Yes, I generally (not always) wake up feeling exhausted, and have for the past few months. I do get majorly bad hay-fever, but it's Autumn here in Australia. I'm experiencing a rather confusing and difficult time in my life at the moment (eg. a lack of direction and this wilderness time for my faith seems to be continuing indefinitely) and there are many anxieties associated with these and other things. But no allergies at the moment, no.

I need to exercise more often, I know that, and I've just begun to see a psychologist. So, that will help, in part.

I do need God, but how do I show people that? Especially when I still struggle with the question of what kind of loving God stands on the sidelines while your mother dies and you're crying for her to be spared?

How can others understand if I don't even understand?
We don't always get to understand why God does what he does.. but I can assure you he was NOT on the sidelines when your mom died. He was right there with her, waiting to usher her into heaven to be with him. You don't need to understand, you only need to trust that God knows what he's doing..

My heart breaks today. Even though she never said anything close to it, I knew in my heart for a week or two now, this girl had changed - her heart. When she put up her new profile picture, sporting her new haircut, it hinted even further the path she was soon to take. She announced, "I am a lesbian. I have realized that it's okay. This is who I am and I can't change. And I don't want to."

If she only knew Christ...=\

I'm almost tempted to drag up a Zombie thread from 2011, with SnakersMom, GreenNnice, and Megatron all in it. But alas, I shall not torture poor Wisebeardman, and just let it slide.

so in filling out an app for a trucking company, everything is great until I get to the personal reference..

rut ro. name no prob, city state no prob. how long i have known them no prob.

phone number. problem..... I don't call people. its ether e-mail or you contact me. so now I got to wait and wait and wait for someone to get back to me with their number.
this is literally annoying. I have now had this app page open for 13h:23m:56s hung up all cause someone is taking their very sweet time in replying.

I understand the need for references, and I even understand the reasoning behind each of the questions about them, but it does get frustrating sometimes when it's like "We need their name, number of years you've known them, address, phone number, email address, their job title, their favorite color, and their blood type."

Also bothers me when the don't tell you why you didn't get the job. I know everyone is afraid of a lawsuit. But I mean cmon. I still owe my school tuition money going on a full year almost. I just want a job already. You'd think employers would be nice enough to let you work on something after the 50th try. And that's not an exaggeration.

1st mistake, college. hate to sound mean but I see it all the time, kids run to college thinking they going to get some sweet job after they get out, guess what all most end up with is $50K+ in debt and lucky to get a burger flipper job that is only 1 day a week for 6 hours.

honestly, dude, at 24 go get a CDL and go OTR truck driving. that is about all that is left.

Where I actually had work was at my university. Had two jobs on campus and loved them both. Ten months since graduating, I'm having to borrow money for groceries cause no one in the house buys them. It's more embarrassing the longer it goes on, as no right minded young adult wants to feel like this. And I can't drive cause of my vision. So there goes probably half the jobs in the world. If not more.

My favorite lines in the for sale ads, is when people write " she runs good". Haha...I chuckle every time! Some people would promise a heap of junk " runs gooood". Haha

Don't forget their favorite restaurant and their mother's maiden name!

I tried applying for Payless Shoes. And I had to add two references. They needed their name, number, e-mail, address, job title, employer, I think they might have even wanted their employer's number. They wanted all this stuff, and it's really not worth going through all that trouble just to get a minimum wage job that I might not even get at a job I'll probably hate. Having to bother all these people and ask for a boatload of info...I'd feel bad doing that. Believe me, I want a job. But the way employers go about things nowaday is AWFUL. It's like they don't WANT you to apply. It's like you could be Robert Downey Jr. and they'd still make you jump through a billion hoops.

Isn't it odd that it's easier to get Welfare than it is to apply for and get a job?

"So, why do you want this job?"
"...because I need money."

Prayers would be appreciated. I'm feeling down on myself and out of sorts.
