Please, please ship some snow to L.A also! Or at least some cold.

I just spent the better part of 5 minutes watching "U Can't Touch This." Why do I do the things that I do?

Cantaloupe and muskmelon are the same thing, right?
Yes........and no.

All Cantaloupe are Muskmelons but not all Muskmelons are Cantaloupe. What we Americans know as Honeydew is also a Muskmelon. Muskmelon is a species, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, etc. are sub-species.

These past few days have been a little bumpy. I'll live, since I have this far.

(Not as depressing as it sounds, I promise...)

So a friend of mine told me on Facebook today that yesterday my Son saw another child punch her child, he ran over to her shielded her and yelled at the other child to never hit her again. My Son is very quiet and doesn't share much about his school day with me, he's in 3rd grade and he's 9 years old so maybe that's common for boy's his age, I don't know. I was very surprised to read that he had done that and I'm very proud of him.

Spent the morning searching my house for my Kindle (which I barely use anymore, but need it for a couple of books I can't go out and buy right now). I distinctly recalled that I used to have it in the fruit bowl on the counter, but at some point a couple months ago, I moved it because...sense, that made none. But I couldn't for the life of me remember where I moved it TO.

And then a few minutes ago, I was staring dejectedly around my house, and my eyes landed on a sheet of gold star stickers I give my kids for potty training/chores, and I REMEMBERED-

I found my Kindle, and the rest of the pack of star stickers, in the bottom drawer in the kitchen, underneath hand towels and oven mitts.

Why do I do these things to myself?!

There are scientists who claim that, within the next several years, they will be able to use MRI images, a 3D printer, and human cells to print a human heart organ. They can already print parts of it. How crazy is that?

Ever notice how often users begin their posts with "I?" "I think." "I believe." "I'm pretty sure."

I find that interesting.

I actually prefer that over..............."Thus sayeth the Lord" Because most often, whatever they go on to say has nothing to do with the Lord or Scripture. People on the Internet, should be aware that if they are not directly quoting Scripture, they are only giving their/their churches opinion of Scripture.

Same with worldly things also.......News Stories/Sports/whatever.......

In My Opinion, in my opinion should be required posting............ :)

Speaking of passwords, Arlene has it been that long since you logged in that you forgot the password to your former account? ^.^ Well anyway, howdy again.
Hahaha, no, I asked for my old account to be completely deleted. Plus I didn't really like my screen name. During that time I first joined, I just used the most basic screen name because I was just trying out the site at the time. And howdy right back, Lynx!

Some cooler weather would be nice for Queensland at this point. We have had a bit of rain lately, and I really love it! We had these glorious storm clouds come over work yesterday that unleashed these fat rain droplets.

At one point I was in the spare room programming with my shoes off, and when I realised I forgot a folder back in the classroom I quickly ran for it barefoot. Half way there, I passed by some puddles. I stopped, looked around, jumped in one, walked away... like a boss.

I stand by this: Puddles demand to be jumped in, no matter what age. I mean, just look at them!

That made my heart smile. Whatever you're doing with your kids, keep doing it. They're growing up to be wonderful people. :) I hope he never loses that courage and tenderheartedness of his.
