Hello to all.
Very cool site, a bit overwhelming, but very cool.
I always BELIEVED from a young age on, but I wasn't educated on Jesus Christ and as most, turn to other things to fill a void that can't be filled, which is what Satan wants, of course. It was only within a last period of my life I really took the time to read the bible and get educated about Christ. I did read all of the NT.
I also suffer from a bit of spiritual isolation, I don't always have the ability to fellowship with others given some outstanding medical issues I have, which is a bummer to say the least.
I am currently reading the OT, which is a tad more difficult. LOL
I'm a big fan of the book of John...
John 1:1
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
skip to ...
John 1:14
"And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."
John 3:3 is another I like ...
Jesus answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."
I think of the shame/fear Nicodemus felt just to be seen with Jesus, and yet Jesus still took the time to explain His teachings to him.
Finally, another bit of scripture I quite like...
Acts 10:44-45
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
The idea that the gospel is for all, and the benefits are alike for all, all that jazz, its just something that stuck out for me while reading Acts.
I could keep rambling and on... think I'll stop before this becomes too big a wall of text. LOL
