never heard of it..the best way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise.. :)

hey there, Leeze. :)

from my (limited) understanding of the program, it's kinda like Weight Watchers...
but with exercise and a whole lotta new age sort of thinking thrown in.

transactional analysis (aka: i'm okay, you're okay), 'ego states', etc...
probably best to stay away from that kind of thing, from a Christian POV.

i also remember reading slimming world has no more success than limiting calories
and increasing activity, just like any weight loss plan.
for some of us, though, accountability like the program provides is really helpful,
but i would recommend finding it elsewhere?

best of luck to you! :)

I don't need to loosen weight -- my weight is loose enough, thank you! I sure which I could lose weight, however, and tone up my loose weight so it wouldn't flop around so much!

Just a little grammar lesson for you!

You're welcome,
A Grammar Nazi

And now that I've made my rant, I see a typo -- "I sure WISH" not which.... sorry!

Santuzza maybe you should think before being sarcastic about someones spelling i have dyslexia no i am notmaking it up i have been tested. There is alot of us out there and yes it is a learning disability would you also like to make fun of my walking disability as well. Please think before you comment as words are very hurtful even if said as a joke.
To everyone else who comment with helpful advice thank you

Just ignore sarcastic comments. I'm not sure, but I think santuzza is or was a teacher. I could be wrong, though. :) Everyone here spells words wrong, so don't sweat it.. :)

I too was a teacher and i am now a foster carer i have many qualifications and letters to my name and i am proud i did it all by myself but when i get comments like that it really makes me upset as you can imagine i have had it alot from narrow minded people throughout my life

She states its a lesson for me well maybe this can be a lesson for her.

I'm sorry I hurt you, Leeze. And I do know that dyslexia is very real and very difficult to live with. It was not my intention to hurt anyone with my post.

I'm not going to make excuses -- I just wanted to inform folks, in hopefully an amusing way, that there is a big difference between the words "loose" and "lose." It's a grammatical error I see ALL the time on these boards, and most of the time, I think it's because people simply don't care about grammar any longer. But grammar and spelling count, especially when one is trying to communicate something frustrating and/or important.

So please accept my apology. I wish you the best in your weight-loss pursuits.

Santuzza thank you for that and i to am sorry if my reaction was a bit sharp it is just such a frustrating disability to have.

No. My present diet plan involves walking up to the biggest guy I can find and insulting him. I normally lose quite a bit of weight afterwards in a short period of time after he breaks my jaw and the doctor wires it shut.

Just kidding!

lol I love it when this happens an error in correcting an error. I once had someone tell me I was an idot! It made me laugh. Its like murphy's law. I have a son who has dyslexia, we regularly laugh at some of his great spelling faux pas, he's a secure person very secure in his intelligence though use, became youze. He'll whip our butts in quantum physics though. Leeze dont be hurt and please try not to choose offense. This is what I teach my son, focus on your abilities because people with dyslexia tend to be very gifted in other areas. You just need a tablet with spell check. God bless you.

Also, because you cant walk far perhaps look at iso tension. Its flexing muscles while you sit just squeeze! Water is good but I dont think it melts fat. It does curb the trips to the cupboard for potato chips & bakers chocolate chips though :) .

Leeze, Pilates is an excellent fitness system. There are different levels so you can do the ones that are comfortable for you. You can also use small free weights which are great as well. I use the wrap around wrist and ankle weights, too. You can Google different Pilates moves online but it's easier to have a book right in front of you.

Shaun T is a wonderful fitness trainer and he has numerous YouTube videos online for different levels as well. I totally recommend those as they are for everyone, young and old, male or female. I wish you the best of luck, dear sister.

Less carb, more protein or fat and anybody loses weight, because it induces ketosis (meaning fat burning - this is perfectly normal and should not be confused with ketoacidosis) in anyone.
Or at least lower the glycemic index of all you eat as much as you can...
Your body simply cannot put on weight if you dont eat carb or eat low carb, veggies combined with protein/fat, insulin is in control of fat loss.
Get your insulin under control, dont allow it to jump up, and you win.
