Hahahaha!! "And who, disguised as Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for a great metropolitan newspaper, fights a never ending battle for truth, justice, and the American way!"

I guess I repeated that Superman intro to my kids once too many time when they were little. Thus began their tradition of commenting with quotes from movies, music and television shows. They used to leave wacky movie quotes or silly lines from songs on my old answering machine. Now I'll bet I get 2 crazy quotes a week from at least one of my three adult kids either in my email, on my Facebook page or a text on my phone.

I once tried to get them back by sending them a Christmas newsletter comprised only of lines from various movies. But it backfired and now they send me jumbled quotes that I have to decipher. LOLOLOL

1955...? I wasn't born yet. And yes, that video is frightening.

Wow! I was the Junior Champion of the St Petersburg Jaycee's Tarpon Roundup a year or two (three... or four... or five?) before you were even born...... and I began flying lessons the same year.

Boy, I feel old.

I remember seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show for their first appearance in America.
Ditto. Still remember being somewhat shocked at their long hair ... lol (true story :) )

my dad didn't watch docs. football, Violet. nuff said! lol

that said, he had really eclectic taste in music. Mitch was accompanied by Sinatra and Ella (Fitzgerald).

i still have the first Beatles album he bought 'me' when i was four. :)
I'd love to have back every package of Beatle cards we managed to squeak out with whatever pop bottle money we could schmooze from wherever. Same goes for the old baseball and hockey cards that were eventually discarded :)

Since most threads seem to have trouble staying on topic I thought I would simply start one that has no topic and just see where it goes. So, in that vein, Speak Your Mind.
I'm craving Girl Scout cookies...

I swear I've seen your rebel pic before in a Sears catalogue from the early 70's ? Didn't you model polyester leisure suits and bell-bottom pants at one time ?

You know you're getting old when all your favorite music is in the bargain bin at Wal-Mart, everything hurts and what doesn't hurt, doesn't work, and you have too much room in the house and not enough room in the medicine cabinet.
