okay, so here's a question.
when a dress is flesh-colored, is it more "revealing" or "scandalous" than the same kind/style of dress in another fabrication?
this is something i'm quite curious what you guys think, since i've recently had a debate with a friend about this.
see, one thing many people don't know (mostly men) is that dresses that are more in that hue are often lined, so even though you think you're seeing someone's "flesh" they're actually seeing the nude liner, which is obscuring what is behind it.
for reference, i'm not talking about the above dress in the previous specifically, because it is pretty scant.
but what about, say a dress such as this, below?
is it more "immodest" BECAUSE of its flesh/nude coloration? because that dress below, would pretty much blend into my skin--without much line of demarcation. please note, that this dress is 100% lined, so there would be no actual skin seen, but it might APPEAR that way because of the open lace design.

So I'm walking in mall the other day, I guess the prom is coming up because there are prom dresses on display in a lot of stores, but some of these dresses, I'm not sure what to think. I don't want to sound like an old fart but some of them show a lot of skin. Like this one

Kind of skimpy.
Don't get me started on fast food. It's ironic that I work at a fast food factory because I loathe the stuff. Naturally I always bring my lunch from home.
Thank the good Lord my family likes good food. Most everyone in my family is a good cook. Family dinners, with all the family meeting at Grandma's house (and bringing a dish) are wonderful times.

What I'm putting in the church bulletin for tomorrow:
A REAL PAGE TURNERAt the end of his sermon one Sunday, a preacher announced that he would preach on Noah and the Ark on the following Sunday, and gave the scriptural reference for the congregation to read ahead of time.
A couple of boys noticed something interesting about the placement of the story in the Bible. They slipped into the church and glued two pages of the pulpit Bible together.
The next Sunday, the preacher got up to read his text. "Noah took unto himself a wife," he began, "and she was" - he turned the page to continue - "three hundred cubits long, fifty wide and thirty high."
He paused, scratched his head, turned the page back, read it silently, and turned the page again. Then he looked up at his congregation and said, "I've been reading this old Bible for near fifty years, but there are some things in it that are still hard to believe."
And yes, I okayed it with the pastor before I printed it. ^.^

I know what you mean, but the dress you posted isn't immodest to me. It's pretty, I love lace. The nude colored stretch pants on the other hand, not that the person who is wearing them intended for them to be immodest but man those pants might need to be outlawed.![]()
well, i had hoped to get some feedback, because i have a good friend who says that since "nude colored" clothing is reminiscent of flesh tone, then the overall effect can be more scandalous/immodest, because it hearkens to the illusion of less clothing on the body than there really is.
i found that to be kind of suspect, but again, was hoping to get some feedback from you all and whether you agree with my friend.
in my mind, if it's covered, well, it's not an issue.
but then, i'm not a guy.

Speaking as a guy, it does trigger the same visceral reaction.
