I am so glad to see you back--I love your posts about your everyday family life. In some ways it makes me wistful, wondering what could have been, in other ways... I get to see how hard it really is!!!!

If it's any consolation, I am currently slurping down cherry cordials (the candy, not the drink!) and anxiously reading about your Adventures In Homemaking! :)

it's your unfortunate luck that you're all the way over there. if you could try them on, i could probably spare a pair of combat boots. ; p i've recently come to terms with the fact that i don't probably need more than one or two pairs of black combat boots, EVEN if they're vintage. ; p

but i'm not sharing any skirty floats. ; p

seriously, another weird admission about my boots. i name them all. yeah, i know. it's kind of silly. but they're all kind of like my pets that don't need to be fed. or watered. just walked from time to time. ; p

i have donated about 11 pairs in the last three months, but i want to downsize more. : )

That's just horrible. I hope that guy chokes on one of those pies. :p Or maybe the next time he goes to buy something he really wants its sold out because the guy who got their 5 minutes before him bought the last one. :p Karma, people!

If you read the full blog entry that was linked in the article that Wisebeardman linked I don't think you would feel that way. The kid had been acting like a spoiled little brat and when the guy asked the kid's mom to control her child she basically told him where he could stick it. He was acting as Karma's agent in denying the spoiled brat and his incompetent mother the pie.

Oh, I thought I did read the full story, but apparently I missed that part. :rolleyes: But why didn't they post the full story on there instead of making it look like the guy was just being a meanie? :mad:
 
I think we've all dealt with circumstances where we've been stuck in line at the grocery store or somewhere else with a kid throwing a tantrum or being boldly disrespectful to their parent while the parent stands there doing nothing. I've been known, from time to time, to speak my mind and let the kid know they are fortunate that they aren't my kid because if they were they wouldn't be able to sit for a week.

on another note, my office printer ran out of ink, so now i have to use the printer in the back to do anything. that thing is so old. and i just had a 20 min fight with it just now......... and lost :(
