I considered the posting of that photo to be inappropriate by virtue of the high standards that Christians should hold themselves to -- not nearly so much because of the content of the image itself - but, rather - because of the 'common-decency' / 'privacy' / 'respect' issues that are connected with it.

Sometimes, the idea behind a picture can be "worse" than the image itself. For example, it is possible for a photo - having no nudity at all, but being "highly suggestive" in some way - to be more inappropriate than a different photo that may actually "show more skin"...

Sometimes, what a picture "suggests" is not something we should encourage ourselves or others to ponder.

Sometimes, the "subject matter" of a picture is not something we should be nonchalant about.

Merely taking a picture in a "privacy area" - such as a restroom - demonstrates a breach of respect for the privacy of others. Posting it on the internet makes it worse. Posting it on CC makes it even worse than that. Depending on the situation and circumstances - it might even be considered by some to be criminal behavior.

How does 'The Golden Rule' fit into this scenario?

A wise man considers the ramifications of his actions before he acts.

A wise man strives continually to live "beyond reproach"...

:)
I agree, you are so right !! I see you have a very high standard for a christian. But you must also know that we all do committed the same mistakes in our younger days. The person you are referring with is like one of your Grandsons.

btw, he has already deleted the photo.

God bless you.

Oh yes - I know -- I understand...

"Lord knows - I have done enough things in my life without thinking them through first."

It "behooves" us older folks to try to pass on what we have learned from our own mistakes to those who are younger so that, hopefully - they can avoid making those mistakes.

Also, there are many times when we older folks can "see" things that the younger folks cannot. ( For lack of sufficient experience in the world. Indeed, there are many things that parents try to "buffer" to minimize the negative affect they have on the lives of their children at a younger age. )

All that I have posted so far in this thread is just a way of illustrating that:

"I care enough about my 'grandson' to remind him to stay on the right path and not veer too far from it."

Yes - that path is narrow - and, easier to get off of -- unlike the wide path the rest of the world follows ( which you don't even have to get off of to be in error - thank God for the narrow path, right? ).

This is one of the reasons that we must be willing to forgive each other; nonetheless, there is an important construct involved here...

I also know that some mistakes everyone seems to have to make on their own. However, many mistakes can be avoided by considering the council of those 'who have gone before'. In reality, my remarks are just a reminder of the real wisdom that is in the Bible. And, we all [should] know what it says about the kind of people that we are to be...

I am not trying to "slam" anyone --- just get 'em to thinkin'... ;)

The guys cooking themselves in the huge fryer was priceless!

If someone invites me to dinner, I'll be sure ask what they're cooking...
just to make sure it isn't ME!

I saw that online lang. And not really know where that is. Fist time ko nga naisip may vendors din at sea... just had a fresh buco near the highway recently, but 1 isnt enough. Its so rare we can get now kasi, and getting expensive what with the coconut kulisap or something. But then it's just like the bananas around here, you know after Glenda, those P2 pieces now being sold double the price or P5! Then they allow to overripe when no buyers. Sayang ano.

[h=3]Tropical Maja Blanca[/h]By Bams Kitchen, February 27, 2015

Soft and silky creamy coconut maja blanca pudding cake is like biting into a slice of tropical paradise topped with toasted macadamia nuts and fresh cut pineapple.
[h=4]Ingredients:[/h]
[h=4]Instructions:[/h]Step 1: In a large saucepan, add cornstarch and slowly add the coconut milk and almond milk and whisk to get out any lumps. Add the sugar. Stir over low heat/simmer and stir continuously for about 12-15 minutes or until maja blanca is thick enough that it does not drip off of your spoon. You must stir continuously or it will stick and burn on the bottom of the pan. (If you want to add sweet corn, you would add one cup drained, at this point, and stir well)
Step 2: Grease the bottom of your 9 inch pie pan or pan equivalency with coconut oil (optional) and pour inside your hot and thick maja blanca. Allow the maja blanca to come to room temperature and then put in the freezer for 1/2 hour and then transfer to the refrigerator for at least one and a half hours until set. You do not need to put in the freezer but it helps to expedite the setting procedure.
Step 3: Garnish your tropical maja blanca with pineapple and toasted macadamia nuts or anything your heart desires. More traditional toppings include toasted coconut and crushed peanuts. Enjoy!
